Can ST games and demos be played on the STE?
Asking because I've never had an STE.
I've got 2 Falcons I plan on selling in order to be able to buy the Firebee and.....a 1040 STE. The Firebee will not be able to play any games from pryor Atari machines.
Anywho, thanks!!

Re: SuperVidel
I'm not worried about original case look as both of my Falcons have been re-cased. :D My one Falcon was in a tall tower case, but had to send the sysboard, with ct60, to Wizztronics for repair.....it's been out for quite awhile now. My second Falcon is in a Desktopper case. Makes the various upgrade...

SuperVidel
Just wondering how many Atari Falcon users in the U.S.A. plan on buying the SuperVidel. I was planning to until I went to xe.com and found out that 300 euro (apprx price) comes out to nearly $450.00. That's a bit rich for me. Can't even consider the Firebee, close to a grand USD. I've upgraded one o...

EasyMint 1.7
Trying to install EasyMint 1.7 on freshly wiped hdd.
I run the EasyMint and it tells me that Basic.tar is missing, but it's right there in the same folder as the installer.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks!!

Re: New Coldari computer in pre order stage
All I know is that the Coldari offers 266mhz processor, which is far and above faster than anything we currently use, pci slots, usb, and network port. I know the price is steep, but then again, if you add what it cost to get our Falcons up to 100mhz, with usb/ethernet, and pci, well, pretty close p...

I, for one, am impressed by Medusa's clone. From what I've read from those who have used/own Medusa's previous offerings, they have been well pleased. So I trust Medusa, and am trusting that they will put out a great product. As for me, if it can run the currently available software (applications, n...

the old CSS crack runs just fine on my Falcon, straight from HD.
You may have to start it from ST low res, and better run it at 8MHz (although it works at 16Mhz as well - it's just a bit too fast).
CSS version attached.

Thanks!

Here is it ... All done with system calls. No direct HW access, no supervisor mode. Source is commented more than I use :D Tested with TOS 1.02, 1.04, 2.06, 4.02 . P.S. updated, so displays alternate fire button pressing (right one for joy.) - only when joystick is attached to port 0, as on port 1 ...
