hahaha, 100KB down to 32KB, thanks Icepak :)

I've just a little problem, my scroller is too fast cos for low CPU cost I scroll 16 pixels each vbl. I tried to skip scrolling for example each 3 vbl, but it flicker and it's not very readable :(

it depend of what sort of routine there are in the VBL.
in most case all registers are saved when an interrupt occur.

about the blitter ^^

hehe, after playing a little with raster I was wondering If I could speed up my routine with the blitter :) I saw that it can do a lot of thing like shift, and/or operation and all at 16MHz ! I tried to use it but nothing apears on screen :( here is what I do: 32 bits address of the image in $FF8A24...

about Raster/Timer B

I had a revelation, by reading a post that was about the timer B and raster. suddenly I (perhaps) understand how you could show more than 16 colors at one time. so I find what was the timer, and I found that it has "data" ($FFFA21) and "control" ($FFFA1B). what this data correspond to ? and what is ...

you simply have to add the first 255 words of your boot sector in a word (so with an automatic and $FFFF) then subtract the result to $1234, and store the crc to the last word (256) of your boot sector. here is an example: movea.l #boot,a0 moveq #0,d0 move.w #510/2-1,d1 chksum add.w (a0)+,d0 dbf d1,...

I've a lot of problem with relocation. when I try to start a program from my bootstrap I've to load it at a defined memory location (I use ORG) and I must not use any absolute instruction :( that's hard, I've a lot of error because of that. can I use the relocation code of IcePack ? e.g: loading the...

mmh, well I followed Zorro2's advice, and tested without packed data and it worked .... so, all my code are now correct, it's seems that this is the iceunpack routine that my assembler don't like :D (because it output an .o object file that contain relocation data (I think) ) I'm going to try with d...

ok, I've added a BPB in my boot, and I do some test. EDIT: sorry, SainT consider the BPB, I just made a mistake, my assembler added an extra byte after the serial number for word alignment It load correctly the first sector, but the second is corrupted and I think this is why ICEPACK unpack wrong. b...

is it normal that all the BPB is written in little endian ?
(because the 68000 is in big endian, right ?)
