some ULM demos with chip music have the 3 YM channels playing on 3 LEDs! No, not the power led. It's Floppy1, Floppy2 and CarrierDetect on the modem! That's it! I remember there being a demo that flashed the LED lights on my floppy and external (never had a modem, though). The disk drive grinding w...

Grotesque is nice but I like "Komische sakratten der Holle" (or something like that) in "Ooh Crickey Wot A Scorcher" better ( http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=1044 ). Runs on a normal ST too. Hans Wessels The lost boys one is good, but it does run out of sync after a while. Grotesque is just well pu...

Grotesque by omega is a pretty stunning 'rave' style demo for the STE. Slightly similar is 'nerdhouse' by sentry... Oh and the Tom & Jerry animation is good too.

other graphic animations are mostly conversion of miggy ones, such as 'walker' 'walker 2' & 'the run'.. 'Scanners' is a good one, mind :)

very nice to see what screen people like! the other constrainst is that everything fit in one disk :-) strange idea I had... seems hard to get the right choice.. And some screens are too big to fit on a disk collection :-) It's a shame to limit to one disk. but then if you spill onto more than one,...

This is it WillieSea, that does seem to be the problem with MAME from some time back. As a result you spend some time downloading NEW working roms for old games. This is why I stopped trying to be up-to-date for old arcade games a few years ago. Besides, raiden II is on the pc and I can play buggy b...

Have they got Raiden II working properly yet?.. Or Buggy Boy?

@niceguyUK - Yes, a lot of chip tunes have ripped commercial songs.. It was barely last month I was going through the HVSC archive and listened to a game tune that was, essentially, a madness tune. And, I presume, the bloke got paid for 'writing' it. It was quite a blatant rip-off, so I imagine all ...

Right, I'm going to try to not sound bitter. Shadow of the beast. An amiga showcase title... We all know (thanks to enchanted lands) that the ST could do it (the STe with some nice sound too, no doubt). I shouldn't imagine many amiga owners will say it was actually a good game, but it looked nice an...

A while back, someone I used to swap demos with made a disk mag called 'Stellar' for his PD library.

I've got a few issues (issues 1,2,4,7,8,11,15 & 6). If you are interested, let me know.

If, however, I'm several months too late, I apologise :)

At the risk of sounding like a fanboy, I prefer the ST's wall-piercing square waves.. Hippel's conversion of the sanxion or bangkok knights loader is a prime example - the bass line really kicks out and the screaming bleep lead, well, just works ! :D I am beginning to appreciate the sid sound, but w...
