Re: Games That Never came to ST.. but SHOULD!

If so, it shouldn't be too hard to google for the original sonic (or whatever) tileset images, convert them to a 16 colour pallette on the PC, then convert to pi1. I'd be happy to lend a hand here. Just had a look at some specs regarding hardware sonic was run on: Game Gear: 32/4096 colours, 160x14...

Re: Games That Support A Second Fire Button?

Turrican II does. However, I think it uses the mouse-port for this? EDIT: What I mean is, when playing Turrican 2 click the mouse buttons and you'll see that they both have functions. One fires and the other one I think activates your bombs and allows you to roll into a ball while crouching. I beli...

Re: Question about STFM's with single sided drives

Apart from having physical access to the machine so you can try a DS/DD disk, is there any other way to tell if an STFM has only a SS/DD drive? For example, can you go by date of manufacture or the promotional package the STFM came with? I believe most of the *originally* single sided machines had ...

I don't know if this board is the same as another one I use, but with that one the message remained in the outbox UNTIL the recipient 'picks up' (reads) the message...

After this, the message will be in the "Sent Box"... as well as the recipients "In Box"!!

I looking for games on hyperformat floppies (cap. over 880KB). It is for testing purposes. Probably not much original is in this ( if any ... reliability ? ), but some cracked should be. I know only about EPIC on 2 floppy. Just give me names of games or compilations, I will look on my DVDs first. S...

Chip Music in commercial tracks

It's previously been mentioned that Timbaland uses chip music and although I don't really agree with him never giving credit to the orginal authors, I actually like his stuff. Anyway, although I don't recognise this as a track from any demo, it's sound is so in the chip music routes... I really like...

Amiga and ST use the same 9 pin joystick ports and therefore both support a Sega Master System controller - only with one button, mind.

Re: Black lines between colours (demo effect)

My ST has the habit of most of the time show black lines between colours in special demo effects (don't know the technical term for it :D ) It does not always happen, what could it be? RAM problem? My mate used to have a switch at the back, no LED though, it was
for booting from either drive A (internal) or B (external)...

The reason for this was because his internal drive was one of the single
sided original drives, which he later upgraded.

Speaking of PASTI-fying stuff...

I have some originals in the loft that don't appear on the list, however... some had hi-score saving to disk, obviously they're, therefore, not 100% original...

Do we still want them anyway?! For comparison purposes maybe?!

Yep, it's number...

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/number
(See point 4 of Noun section for abbreviations)

I've always taken this for granted, but why is it "No", I mean there is no "o" in the word number... strange!
