Re: UltraSatan -- our dream came true!
I notice that the pre-order page says: Also note that these are the estimated prices, which are dependent on how many pieces will be manufactured (less pieces = higher price, more pieces = lower price), and also on the current conversion rate between USD and Euro (as some parts are ordered from deal...

Re: UltraSatan -- our dream came true!
What is the best free or cheap Atari ST hard disk driver that will work with UltraSatan?
HDDRIVER is $60! I don't want to pay that much for software, especially since I will be spending enough money already on UltraSatan itself instead!

Re: YM recommendation
I really like music by gwEm, Stu, and 505. Really, anything by anyone in the YM Rockerz group is good. I just saw Stu play at Blip Festival 2008. In my opinion, he was the best out of the whole festival. I saw gwEm play at Blip Festival 2007, and he was amazing as well. I know gwEm wrote an SNDH-pla...

Re: satan disk?
Hey... don't want to be pushy or anything, but I'm just excited and curious: Any idea when UltraSatan will be finished? WeST is still on-going from what I remember but Techie Allison hasn't been on here for about a month so daresay she'll have some updates when she does come back. What are the diffe...

Re: Hooking an STE up to a TV: Options?
Ok thanks! It looks like composite is the best option for me then... cheap, easy, guaranteed to work, and still better than RF. It's also a plus that practically every TV has a composite input, so I could use my STE pretty much anywhere. Still wish we had SCART/RGB over here. :( I really shouldn't c...

Re: Hooking an STE up to a TV: Options?
Don't you feel you're missing out on not having scart connectors on this side of the pond? :D Yes! What sort of TV are you wanting to connect to? CRT or LCD? It it's an LCD that also has VGA inputs... Based on this thread I contacted Roy and he's still able to make VGA converters for the ST. I've o...

Hooking an STE up to a TV: Options?
I want to build a cable to hook my 1040 STE up to my TV, but I'm in America so I don't have SCART/RGB. I know composite is an option, but it's only slightly better than RF. 1) Is there a way to wire an s-video cable out of the atari's monitor port? 2) Or anything better than composite that is not SC...

SC1224 Monitor Problem - Help?
I finally got my Atari SC1224 (Goldstar) color monitor in the mail today. I had to turn it on and off a few times before it would come on properly, but now it turns on/off with no problem. When the desktop first appeared, everything looked fine, except the screen seemed a bit "jittery" with the cont...

Re: Atari STE: NTSC vs PAL?
Thanks for replying! Would a cable like this or this , that connects an Atari RGB output to a TV composite input, let a PAL Atari work with an NTSC TV? It is possible to set every Atari ST to work on 60Hz, but you can not force PAL machines to have NTSC output. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by ...

Atari STE: NTSC vs PAL?
Hi. I'm an Atari n00b in North America and I'm thinking about buying an Atari 1040 STE from someone in Holland. Would I have any problems with NTSC vs PAL, and if so, is there a way to fix or get past them? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me! :) EDIT: By the way, I don't have an Atari monit...
