Re: Direct Bluetooth gamepad support

For anyone still not sure, the suggestion is to copy and rename update.sh, and then make a matching .ini file containing the desired options (the uncommented line in this case) as an override. Then run the custom updater only when you want to upgrade the full Linux system, and the regular updater o...

Several people in the thread have flashed the orange brick with the grey firmware.
I have done it but I don't have a ps4 controller to test.

Re: Direct Bluetooth gamepad support

i thought that the script updater did that. The updater can (if configured to do so) update Linux. Please read here https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Updater_script_MiSTer and please read the linked page in the readme with all the user options. Regards. Re: Direct Bluetooth gamepad support

Yes I have a K400 plus K400 Plus is much worse than K400r. It has slim up/down cursor keys. K400r has full sized cursor keys. Seeing this rubbish move from Logitech i've bought second K400r (it was hard to find in local store - everywhere only K400plus) in case if current one will break :) returned...

I use an older IO board. It's the all in one board (version 5.3 maybe?). And I use the Makerspot usb hub. Could any of that be the cause?

That hub is not powered is it?

Re: Joystick testing thread

8bitdo gamepads according to manual should automatically turn off after some inactivity period (10 or 15 mins), but it seems not the case when 8bitdo receiver is used. I've started to use generic BT receiver and now automatic shutdown works. This is good because i always forget to turn gamepad off ...

I would love some testing of changes I am planning to make to many of the Arcade cores. New Features: 1) load alternate rom from OSD 2) 5,6 coin keys 1,2, player 1 and player 2, and for cocktail mode: R,F,D,G,A - for the second player 3) new scalar 4) dip switches (galaga is missing the ship bonus ...

In general soft reset doesn't really seem to reset everything. Typically my gamepads stop functioning with soft reset. Is reset even part of the individual core function at all?

Looks bad rotated in VGA?

Referring to core notes:

I have 2 brown bricks, and at least flash chips are different in each one. One is flashed in 2 seconds, another needs around 1 minute! I confirm that grey brick firmware works fine on my brown brick. Yeah, I bought a couple Brown Brick 8bitdo receivers for $12.54 US each with free shipping from Ebay when the PSC Grey Bricks were first released. You can do this already with the F12 main mister menu, go to scripts, then select "updater" if you have put the updater.sh script on your mister SD card.. nothing to do .. just sit back and watch it automatically update/install any missing, new or updated cores, filters, etc.. . its literally just ...

Firmware update did not fix my issue. As Sorgelig mentioned the only thing that makes a difference is trying different USB ports. Sometimes second controller works ok and sometimes very very lagged. Probably in the 1/4 - 1/2 second range.

Dunno where its coming from but for some reason using 2 x 8bitdo wifi receivers and nintendo switch controllers the player 2 is lagged but player 1 is great. both receivers have firmware updated. Do not have a nintendo switch to check if controllers needs updates.
