Re: polymega
yeah, they did a lot of modification, for sure, mostly to the UI, but it was not THAT much different from MISTer's UI. just a little prettier. I just can't believe they would take some code base and not give proper credit. this is basically the same thing that Retron did with the Retron 5. why? at ...
Re: polymega
do y'all think that polymega was just planning to rip-off MISTer? If they chose to use open source cores as the base of their product, as long as they contributed their changes and kept it open then more power to them. Sadly, I don't believe they're using FPGA nevermind anything MiSTer related. the...

Re: Would MiSTer ever be able to run a Neo Geo core?
looks like furrtek has got a basic core running about 10 neo geo games on mister no sound for now and he's not sure if he'll need anything special going further but at least theres a start. from his patreon ( https://www.patreon.com/posts/24218461 ) page: If you want to try it out, use my hacked-up ...

Re: "MiSTer PC Engine CD & TurboGrafx-CD Begins"
I saw this at RetroRGB: https://www.retrorgb.com/mister-pc-engine-cd-turbografx-cd-begins.html Opens the door for the other cd based systems. Anyone hear any status updates? nothing yet. smokemonster was being a bit overenthusiastic considering all that technically began was people working on it. c...

Re: Ghosts'n Goblins on MiST
someone posted code to a github today of 1943 in verilog but apparently it has no working sound. https://github.com/fredrequin/fpga_1943 not sure if anything useful there but seems to use the same sound chips as ghosts n goblins so FYI posting in case its helpful.

I would appreciate if any of you Linux/MacOS users could try this new script: https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Arcade-DonkeyKong_MiSTer/blob/master/releases/build_rom_DonkeyKong.sh Besides generating the ROM it will also verify its checksum. This feature was discussed at http://www.atari-forum.com/v...

Re: Modem games over the network - MiSTer vs. MiSTer
This is pretty cool. I seem to recall a lot of DOS games with networking support. Will this eventually work similar to ipxnet for dosbox using mister-main to set the networking IP parameters?

Re: Save States for the cores
It's not impossible but not currently an option or priority and requires someone to write the code to do it.. Might be easier to eventually add in support for cartridge adapters and use the flash cartridge with its built in save state support. But either way requires adding that feature as it curren...

Re: FPGA SNES source (srg320)
About my board. I make it from what I could get in China and designed it to create NES, SNES, Genesis and other emulators in the future, so I put two separate 8 bit SRAM for cartridge ROM emulation and therefore the sizes of memory chips are larger than needed for SNES. I thought your board looked ...

Is there a simpler fix than maintaining a non-standard kernel. I like this adapter because it supports two joysticks, however only one button is supported, so I'm considering a different adapter. You should just send the disk via postal to someone with a working Amiga. They could email you back an ADF with the Zelda Game.

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion
Probably hardware Limitation. There has never been an easy way to read Amiga formatted floppy disks on the PC or MAC under UAE or just in general. Custom hardware seems necessary. The only thing I am aware of that does this is The CatWeasel -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Individual_Computers_Catw...

USB floppy aren't supported by MiSTer. You need to look for Win/MAC/Linux solutions for Amiga floppy backup Thanks we'll try one of the other options between the two of us we have an old PC and some floppy drives. Just out of curiosity is there any hardware reason preventing minimig from being able...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion
So I'm just getting in to the whole FPGA thing and a buddy mentioned that he programmed a Zelda style game for the amiga back in the day on an amiga 500 and has it on an old amiga floppy. He sold the actual Amiga years ago, but is it possible to plug in a Toshiba PC USB floppy drive and read the Ami...
