Re: Norton Sucks Ass

P.S. Unseen, two of the trojans I found were exes associated with 2 pieces of software that I know you use, I may have even got one of them from you 8O so you might want to install AV software, will tell you the details on MSN later  (if you are still talking). Don't forget that a lot of AVs ...

Re: Norton Sucks Ass

It used to be one of the best - back in the days of DOD and early windows days (well OK v3/3.1/3.11 and even 95) but it is now nothing more than bloated bloatware; a memory and resource hog and more! Remember MS used to use a version of norton S...

Re: STeem 4?

Well, here is the reply I got from the Steem authors recently when I E-mailed them asking pretty much what we are all wondering: Reply from the Steem authors received 24/12/07: " We really want to get on with Steem - it is halfway towards being releasable open source but both me and Ant have been c...

i too like the flashing (but also dont miss it if not there) - I think it's just a nostalgia thing? Anyway if its a case of just a few bytes being changed then could this be integrated into the loader as a selection (pointless perhaps I know!) e.g. "press any to boot or N for no flash" [EDIT] nice w...

Maybe somewhere in the future... But don;t hold your breath

Development has certinayl ground to a halt from what we can see (others may know better than me here though) so there are grounds perhaps for this to go a more "open source" route

We're working on some support tools (music, data layouts) and I have some idea of the different types of enemy movement now, so as soon as unseen's done a scenery framework to work in I'll be sorting out enemies. My plan is to get some enemies moving, get some collision detection, try and get to th...

I can see a lot of PD being lost into the ether. :( Just need to keep an eye on ebay for those bulk collections! I agree, the bulk collections are possibly the best source. Sadly some PDLs just tossed their stuff away or resued the disks I;ve been told, so its thankful that we have some good stuff ...

To be honest I've never tried to depack the earlier lsd/automation single parted files, but if it is running in a ram disk then possibly you can execute the file upto the point where the depacked code is about to be run and then drop out and you may find the file depacked in the ram disk? Certianly ...

Looking at the file quickly (currently dont have access to my ST and my Steem set up is currently being re-setup) it looks like the intro and the executable have been linked together In essence you would have to look where that code ends and the new code begins and save that out and then unpack that...

or is it just a bad crack? What version is the TOSEC collection one? Could just be the Automation crack repackaged or something
