Re: Sensible Soccer 1.1a versus 1.1?
Vaguely remember a version coming out after the original which introduced yellow and red cards - could this be that version?
(Caveat to my hazy memory is mostly played this game on the Amiga as mates into the game were Amiga freaks, so that may have been Amiga only too)

Re: INTERNATIONAL KARATE vs IK+: WHICH IS BEST?
IK was great - loved the graphics at the time etc.. But IK+ was such a step up on any format so IK+ gets the vote (even if we have heard the music on far to many menus
)

Re: John Carmack's code
I thought the code was used only on PC's (or at least anything with EGA hardware)
The code was used in the PC version of the Apple II game Dangerous Dave if I remember rightly and was also used in their Mario Demo - later to be used in Commander Keen.... the rest as they say is (ID games) history

Re: ROBOCOP 2. Amiga or ST?
Agree with lostdragon. Visually the Amiga wins but game play wise I think ST version is better and more fluid. The platform jumping did feel odd for a Robocop game, but perhaps thats where most of Oceans licenses were going in style? That said, I did love the Speccy version of Robcop 2 - jumping and...

Re: Operation Harrier
Many games used a code-wheel - Another world, Zool, Monkey Island and Elvira are ones that come to mind. There were several variations of dark text on darker backgrounds - one game that escapes me for now had dark blue text on a brownish-purple card. Some other games with a code-wheel can be found a...

Re: ProStream 1.1
I'm intrigued by the title "stream" and the cassette tape icon
Whilst Protar certainly made Hard drives and memory upgrades, I wonder if this was to stream data form tape drives or similar? Perhaps used in the music industry since Atari;s were widely used?

Re: Hydrogen Peroxide Bath - ??Harm??
Hi guys Just to add to this from a research chemists point of view. If you are patient then 3% peroxide will work fine, you can add something like Vanish Oxyclean to the mix (~1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon per 5 liters is plenty) to help, but it is not needed. typically the oxyclean contains sodium carbonate p...

I've probably said it a few times on this thread, but all your effort on these menus is really appreciated. A fantastic effort indeed! I recall when I was re-creating menus for my long-defunct FTP site and also when I was repacking older cracks for disk saving years before that, I had a similar idea...

Re: Coloured bar curiosity
The colours are just there for my understanding to show that something is going on - a simple change in the register that invoked can change the colours etc. Quite a few packers and groups didn't have the lines, and it could also be turned off In terms of the spectrum, in some part it was to show da...

Re: X-Out (Raving Mad Edition)
Not entirely sure if it's part of a series of themed ST complications, as there is a "Raving Mad" compilation reported that contained Rodland, Robocod and Mega Twins.
Going by the fact those are cutesy/cartoon-style platformers, maybe there was a "Raving Mad" compilation for shoot-em-ups too?
