Re: AGA core for mist

I couldn't notice any compatibility discrepancy between 4 and 24 MB of FAST ram. Can you give use some WHDLoad titles examples that are supposedly affected ?

Re: AGA core for mist

There are strange phenomenons that seem somehow related to the cases where the HRTMON file is added to the SD card afterwards. I have to remove it AND re-create my Minimig core config file otherwise it's impossible to boot from my hardfile (I get a black screen -- I can still get the kickstart anima...

Re: My MIST crashes in Minimig by pressing F11 - Not exactly

Indeed, I noticed this behaviour as well ! So far it only annoyed me in Pinball Fantasies ECS (as Help is used to toggle the datadisk).

Re: AGA core for mist

Yeah :) To sum up most common issues ATM, so that you guys know that's normal : (disclaimer : I'm just a spoilt and clueless user :) (always using WHDLoad with a clean OS3.x setup and double checking under UAE) - 020 compatibility is close to perfect but not perfect yet - AGA compatibility has quite...

Re: AGA core for mist

I don't know if that helps but I've not been able to boot either for a long time, when turbo kick or both is not enabled. It's not related to the last update.

Re: AGA core for mist

Definitely ! No more corruption with FBlit, no more crash in Virocop AGA for instance. I'm sure there are dozens of games that will work better now but I only tested a couple of them :) @Amedia : Bubble Heroes works, but there are graphical glitches which are probably not CPU related. Thanks again, ...

Re: AGA core for mist

Hi ! Just wanted to let you know guys that my keyboard input lag issue is *fixed* by a firmware update (not sure whether this is a public version, though, it was sent to me by Rok).

Thank you team !!

Re: AGA core for mist

Very strange, we use the same firmware / core combination and I tried several keyboards. So it's either a hardware issue (for instance, my previous MiST triggered issues that were not present on other units, due to differences in the memory timings or so :) or due to my WB 3.1 install (which is pret...

Re: AGA core for mist

Hi ! I noticed a serious keyboard issue using both the latest firmware and the one provided in the Minimig AGA 1.1 archive. When typing a little quickly (in the terminal for instance) I can clearly see the text is still being displayed afterwards. I tried this with 2 keyboard and it gives the same r...

Re: Creating an IDE HDD Image for Hatari

Hi ! I stumbled upon this ready to use 1 GB harddisk image (on the same website that hosts many HD installed games) : http://atari.8bitchip.info/DiskImgPP1.html

For some reason, it works under Hatari but gives me 2 bombs when booting on the MiST. Any idea ?

Re: MiST demo compatibility ?

I'm mainly referring to input lag. I can definitely say that in some cases, input lag makes me very bad at games because of a very slight delay between a direction press and its effect on the screen (especially in shoot them ups). There are probably tons of factors that lead to this... but anyway, m...

Re: MiST demo compatibility ?

Most people seem to agree on this famous "lag" on emulators. Is it due to the way they are written ? To the software stack ? I used to think it was due to my Linux setup (old PC, not that good GPU / drivers, the fact FS-UAE is not optimal regarding this -- it is to be improved in the future, the fac...

Re: MiST demo compatibility ?

@orion : well, as far as the ST is concerned, I think the compatiblity is quite average ATM if you plan to use floppy disks versions of games & demos. It seems that patched HD versions work much much better. Actually, you cannot even boot with 512k of memory (I wonder why ?). ST emulation is extreme...

Re: AGA core for mist

Hi ! May I ask an off-topic question regarding the Amiga core ? :-) The picture we get, provided one has a monitor capable of diplaying the 720x576 resolution in 50 Hz, with the right 910 pixels per line sample clock etc., is pretty good, with scanlines (and bilinear filtering). It's clearly WAY bet...

Re: Mist STe and Xenon2 Hard Drive version with Better music

Very cool ! Is this the same music as the Amiga version ? It seems better because it seems music channels are not interrupted for sound FX ? I'm completely lost regarding those Atari ST harddrives considerations. I made one with Hatari but have no clue what those ICD, HAGA, HDDriver, AHDI... are all...

Re: Apple Macintosh aka Plus Too

Very nice ! I remember when my dad used to bring a Mac Plus back from the university on week-ends. There were some awesome games I never managed to find nor emulate again. I remember a very fun text adventure with pictures and digitized sounds. A strange top view adventure game (not rogue-like but k...
