Wanted: Working STBook

I know, if you have one you probably would not sell it. If you are one of the few in the world who has one and would consider selling it, please PM me.

Re: STYLE TRAX MANUAL Steinberg

Nothing owed! People here always help me, with the exception of that Simbo character who stole my STBook. I’ve been helped many times in my 17 year Atari hobby!

Re: STYLE TRAX MANUAL Steinberg

The studio module and cuetrax are to too large to attach, even after reducing the quality. Hope this link will work for you:

Re: STYLE TRAX MANUAL Steinberg

I have these and will take them to work today to try and scan. If our printer auto feeder will accept the pages, I'll scan and post. There is no way I'm doing it manually! :D

Re: Do you use/need more than one MIDI input?

With my setup I only use the Midi in on the Falcon for my dedicated keyboard controller (no sounds). I have three different sound sources, and I'm currently using the Falcon Midi out plus two outs on my SMP II. I would think that if you needed more inputs you could just use a merge box? I think it i...

Re: Steinberg SMP II Operation with Falcon CAF

Sorry it took so long, but I have finally tested the SMP II with a mechanical A/B switch box. The box I used is generic and says "data transfer switch" on the front. I used a straight through 25 pin serial cable from the Falcon parallel port to the box, and standard parallel printer cables going fro...

Re: CT60e overclock HELP!

Okay, these are the steps I had to take: 1. Boot in 030 mode and disable auto folder programs (I did not disable NVDI) 2. Power off and remove SuperVidel and EtherNat if you have them. 3. Locate pad/holes marked "RECOVERY" under the area where the expansion cards sit and near the Falcon motherboard ...

Re: CT60e overclock HELP!

In 030 mode I get a message that says “without CT60 you must connect module to modem 2”. I hadn’t seen that with my original Czuba CT60.

CT60e overclock HELP!

I installed my CT60e today, and everything was going so well until I tried to overclock above 100 MHz. I thought you could recover back to 66MHz by placing a jumper on the pins on the upper left above the SDRAM, but this is doing nothing for me. All I can get is the first two lines of the boot scree...

I tried pressing Alternate before booting (and holding) and also Control. No affect.

Re: [Solved?] CT60e Which are the reset pins to reset the clock speed back to default?

Are the pins to the left above the SDRAM supposed to set the clock at 66 MHz when jumpered? If so, this is not working for me. I clocked it too high and now it will not boot. I just read in another post that with the original CT60 you could bypass the clock module by pressing the Alternate key. I'm ...

Re: Steinberg SMP II Operation with Falcon CAF

It seems that the four "SMP 24" MIDI outputs came to life after toggling the synchronization settings in CAF. Now to see if an "A-B" switch will work so that I can have my printer and the SMP II attached all of the time without switching cables. Now I have six MIDI outs if I still use my Midiman Min...

Steinberg SMP II Operation with Falcon CAF

I was fortunate to finally find an SMP II for my Falcon/CAF. Unfortunately it is not showing up under the devices yet. I am suspicious that it may be the centronics/printer cable, so I'll keep trying different cables, but I'm just checking to see if I am missing something. I have SMP2_19.DRV in the ...

Re: Laser printer for 16/32 Atari

One more question: Since I will have a jetdirect card, will Mint direct the output of NVDI to an IP printer instead of the parallel port? As far as I can see so far I would need a windows network using Samba (I don't have a Windows Machine), or output from NVDI from a file and then print the file fr...

Laser printer for 16/32 Atari

The HP Laserjet Series II printer that I have been using for years and years finally died on me (paper jams, no one to service). I would like to buy a newer model black and white laser printer that will be compatible with AtariWorks, Cubase and Notator (primarily). It seems that newer HP PCL printer...

Media Player

I'm looking for a media player for my CT60 Falcon to play AVR, AIF, WAV files. I have always used Aniplayer, but I have problems with bus errors when running it in Mint. Also the colors are all weird when using the Supervidel. I'm wondering if there is anything new out there that I am missing? Falca...

Thanks!

Anodyne cdaudio mp3

I remember at some point I could use the cdaudio.prg that comes with Anodyne's Extendos to record .mp3 files to disk from a CD. I think that I may need to set an environment variable for the lame encoder or something like that. My old documentation is all packed away, and I'm not finding anything on...

Re: Mounting Svethlana

Thanks for the photos. For now mine is just taped to my IDE cable, which puts it in a perfect position to keep the Svethlana ribbon cable perfectly straight. I have the ethernet cable wire tied securely to the back of the case. It doesn't look very "professional" but it is doing the job for now. Eve...

Re: Moving CT60 to a different Falcon

Once I had put everything back together, I began to test Cubase Audio Falcon and quickly found that I was going to need a patch to get SCSI read and write working properly. I applied the patch that Rodolphe recommends for the CT60. Fortunately the surface mount resistors were already 30 ohm, so I on...

Mounting Svethlana

For those using a tower or rack case for their Falcon, how did you mount your Svethlana (if you have done that!)? I have a Wizztronics Falcon Rack case, and I have a couple of holes in the back that were meant for external SCSI connection that I do not use, but I think I will have to create some kin...

The final answer to the question of "Is my Ethernat Toast?" seems to be "Yes", for networking anyway. I installed the Svethlana, and it is working properly. USB on the Ethernat is still functioning.

Re: Moving CT60 to a different Falcon

Well, I must add this to my pile of embarrassing mistakes, but when I soldered the wiring for motherboard clocks for the Supervidel, I reversed the two pairs of wires. This is why the "new" Falcon would not boot. Thank God I didn't fry anything! I have everything put together and working properly no...
