Re: Proper Atari ST gray and 3D printing

3D Prima does state that their filaments are based on the RAL color scheme, which I take to mean that their naming is the RAL naming (instead of using the number scheme). RAL Moss Gray would then be 7003. They also have Light Gray which is 7035. I might pick that up as well just to compare. https://...

Re: Proper Atari ST gray and 3D printing

Well. It is close - but there definitely is a green tinge absent in the original Atari color.

(This STE is slightly slightly yellowed)

Re: Proper Atari ST gray and 3D printing

My Falcon is pretty close to its original color I think. Will do a comparison with the Mega STE as well, think that one is even closer.

Re: Proper Atari ST gray and 3D printing

Thanks! Found it from a Swedish company in 2.85mm diameter here: https://www.3dprima.com/filaments/prima ... y/a-24201/

edit: oh, that was your original site. Well, good for Swedes with them being local then :) I could actually pick it up from their warehouse.

Re: MegaSTE with DD - upgrade to 2.06 issues

Not really a TOS 2.06 issue. It's similar to something which does trip people up though. When you boot TOS 2.06 _without_ a floppy drive connected it will show 4 bombs.

Re: Req : "Audio Sculpture" (STX,...) even not running...

... and that concludes my lonely string of posts here - by answering the original call :) Here's a dump from an original Audio Sculpture v1.3, to SCP and converted to STX. I've verified both STX images with Hatari. I don't know if the SCP images work as is in Steem - as I wrote above, Aufit seems to...

Re: Req : "Audio Sculpture" (STX,...) even not running...

I've managed to get Aufit running under Wine. Interestingly enough, when converting disk B to STX using Aufit, it wrote something about "recovered" regarding a few sectors - and the resulting STX can indeed display both the readme2.txt as well as access the side2 folder.

Sectors overwritten somehow? Sector 004 seems to come at the wrong time here.

I'm wondering if this is a screw up when producing the original, if no one has a good suggestion on how the previous owner could've caused it.

Re: Req : "Audio Sculpture" (STX,...) even not running...

I'm trying to create good dumps from my original Audio Sculpture v1.3. While the program disk seems fine, I have issues with the data disk. Even after extensive cleaning, I can't get better than 34 bad sectors according to HxC Software. I need the opinions of those who're much more used to this than...

Re: Mega STE motherboard small issue - can't detect HD 1.44MB Floppy Disks

Just measure resistance between the two points mentioned. If they aren't connected, add a wire. I had to do that to my MSTE.

With GAL U407 tested ok I assume you mean UA2 being the 1.44MB version? (-002)

Yeah strip the automatic depacking header and add your own routines that also do the depacking.

Re: Announcing the Lightning ST - USB & IDE for STs

Yes, that makes sense. By having it as the first driver in the AUTO folder (and if memory test is patched out in TOS 2.06), will a USB keyboard (and USB mouse) work exactly in the same way as the original Atari mouse and keyboard? I had a look at the Atari wiki Lightning VME info-text (there's no S...

Ok. Sounds like there indeed are a bunch of 2MB STEs - so at least that work was in order :) Also shows that not all effects were just animations from RAM ;)

Surely anyone with actual interest in using the real hardware has already maxed the SIMMs in their STEs? ST is a whole different ballgame however.

I've replaced mine with the Falcon 060 repro - and I can part with it. It's in almost perfect condition, but you'll have to find some double sticky tape yourself.
