Re: Hatari OSX debug mode

Note that -D option isn't needed for invoking the debugger. It will just make Hatari (with old UAE CPU core) to invoke debugger automatically on certain exceptions. 8O all this time Ive been lead to believe you had start hatari with -D I've been painfully 'c'ing through reset bus errors for months!...

if you read the blog, Zappy addresses the dubious name of the group directly. So anyway, this is a beautiful piece of writting Zappy!!!!! Re: Wanted: Atari colour monitor SC1224 or Phillips 8833

Thanks guys for your input :) In my mind I would love the sc1224 (to go nicely with my sm124) but like you say wongk it's far too much of a beast to ship from Asia! ( but thank you anyway) Darkxavier thanks for the message, having chewed it over I really have my sights set on a 1224, sorry to waste ...

hi Simon!

I would indeed quite like to bang the MFP by hand

but you're quite right I should look at the BIOS/XBIOS functions first.. If my German went further than "Guten Tag" i would be all over the Profibuch like an Ausschlag :D

looking for some rs232 example code

hi folks I was wondering, would anyone happen to have any example 68k code of simple communication over the ST rs232 port? for example, a small piece of code that sends a character over the serial port, and one that receives it? i'm not after a fully fledged terminal server, just the 'nitty gritty' ...

Wanted: Atari colour monitor SC1224 or Phillips 8833

Hey there :)

I'm looking for a colour monitor for my ST, preferably an sc1224, or perhaps a Philips 8833 with appropriate cable.

Can anyone please help?

I'm in the south east of England.

Greets!

Re: Hatari 1.6.0 build OS X question

Bob,

I don't know if it's beyond the scope of this thread but could you possibly give me some advice on how you managed to embed the Sdl framework within the binary?

Also, out of interest, I are you compiling in Xcode 4 on Lion?

Greets

Re: Hatari 1.6.0 build OS X question

Hi Bob many thanks again for taking the time to respond to my posts :) I'll have to look into embedding and patching of the SDL frameworks. My initial research hasn't exactly filled me with confidence ;) fyi when I quit Hatari from the OS X menu, the final 'are you sure' type prompt is that of the S...

Re: Hatari 1.6.0 build OS X question

Rich, I can, but before I would like to ask a question of the hardcore open-source guys :) Further to what's been said above, I wonder about the use of 'make' and 'make install'.. At the moment I don't use make, I build from within xcode IDE.. So as a result I don't perform a make install either.. A...

Re: Hatari 1.6.0 build OS X question

Thank you Bob for that excellent post! it's very much appreciated :D damo Actually, there is a list of command-line options. You will find them in the hatari.1 man file in the doc folder that was created when you extracted the .bz2 file. If you did a "make install", I am guessing it would install th...

Re: Hatari 1.6.0 build OS X question

Thanks Nicolas, maybe one day i'll be able to offer some help.. if i stare at the IDE long enough perhaps it will begin to make some sense :) so you mention the command line option.. perhaps a daft question but is there a centralised document of all command line options? Likewise, are the different ...

Hatari 1.6.0 build OS X question

Hey guys i must admit the whole process of building software before I can use it is somewhat alien to me, however i'm happy to say somehow i've managed to build 1.6.0 in OS X without any drama :) i'm a bit confused however. i targeted XCode generator with cmake -G Xcode and this generated an Hatari....

Dave i'll take a look at this but a quick look at your readme suggests you've uploaded the 'fixed' for MegaST version that you say 'may or may not work on ST/E'.. could this not be the root of your problem? how did you fix it? also are we missing files refered to in the read.me? title screen.mbk, re...

I understand where the other guys are coming from, particularly those with a personal interest in the development of Hatari for example, BUT playing devil's advocate for a minute.. Re: Display register contents in 68000

Surely Steem debug will suit your needs Bod? when it crashes you should be able to see the state of all the address/data regs, and look at the sequence of instructions leading up to the crash..

unless i'm very much mistaken!

keep up the good work with your product anyway :)
