I'd say you're pretty unique.

Hey Ronald, about this PeST. I may as well send it directly when you find a winner?

Re: Is it worth upgrading TOS from 1.62 to 2.06?

Heyo :-) You can't, or at least in practical terms. Well, of course you can, but it's a load of messing about. :) I suppose you could piggyback the ROMS, and bring out the CS/CE lines to enable the appropriate ones via a switch. Technically it would work. The way I do it is by putting both versions ...

Re: Fault (possibly PSU related) with my STe

I'm not far from Colchester... I could do it.

It *could* be the power supply, but then again it may be something else. I can certainly tell you if it is or not, and replace it. :)

Re: is the multiface ST (the romantic robot one) STe compatible?

Mmmmmm.

Well I think we need to try and locate the versions which are STE-compatible, and get the versions listed.

I'll get my versions uploaded in due-course. There are also the versions floating about for use with Steem, so if anyone has one of those, then please upload.

Re: There may be trouble ahead ...

In some ways I don't think they're making that much. 500 floppies for £50!! Admittedly with labels on, but none the less, it's still alot of disks.

Dbug are aware. The overall opinion being that it adds value to what they do.

Re: is the multiface ST (the romantic robot one) STe compatible?

In answer to the thread topic, which I'm about to test right now.... No, it doesn't appear to work on an STE. I'm getting 4-bombs here too, sometimes two. It's the same story with the PC Computing Ultimate Ripper too. I have two of them here, and neither will work with the STEs. Stickhead, I can rep...

Re: New Forum : Galleries

As I understand it they all know each other and have stuck with the hosts when they started out small. There's a couple of hosts I've dealt with in the past, and they're all lying scum who use every opportunity to get anything out of you. On one site I'm on a VDS just to run a hit/stat counter. Trou...

Re: New Forum : Galleries

Drop Silver Surfer a mail about it. Like, we had the site down 2-weeks ago. And have just been down for a couple of days. The hosts are advising moving it upto a VDS server to cope with the load. That of course runs into $$$. We don't actually have access to the core backend of the server, like SSH ...

Re: Back in Black..

Actually yes, there's a prize. Let's spice things up a bit shall we. :-) You win the 1st prize for May, for being first. And at the end of each month, someone will win a prize. The next prize is at the end of June, UNLESS there's a mad rush in these 2 last days of May. :D What would you like Ronald?...

A slight oversight on my part... I should have copied the permissions from one of the other forums (which I've now done).

Re: Help With Best Atari STe Setup

I can do this for you. :-) Yes, you will need to do some soldering on the board, judging from the 28-pin MASK ROMs that are there at the moment. The ones that you'll be putting in are 32-pin 27C010's (or equivalent). Can't quite believe how much that guy is charging for ROMs. I'm in the wrong busine...

Re: Atari TT on BRITISH EBAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I might be interested in the HP 680.... :-) As for 16-bit PCMCIA cards... I think I may have an IBM one here. It has both coax (cheapernet) and RJ45 on the dongle. Not sure if it's 16-bit or not, but it was fine in an IBM 755C which was a 486DX2-80. Same model as this (I don't think it has the dongl...

Oooh that's quite nice. :)

I'd done this before by making PCB adapters, and they don't fit under the metal shield. This looks like a better way to do it.
