Re: Cartridge port extension cable?

There is a slight difference in the way the Falcon accesses the ROM port, I think byte reads strobe both the UDS and LDS from memory. So, its possible ST devices won't work.

Re: Cartridge port extension cable?

The ROM port connectors are near on impossible to find. You could desolder one from a dead ST and make a cable up. The connector is 40 pin, and I think 2mm pitch.

If the Green light in lower left hand corner (power light) is going dim sometimes I'd look at the PSU 5v Rail. Can you measure it?

Netus-Bee Interrupts

Thought I would mention that the Netus-Bee had option to run interrupts, but as the ROM port doesn't have an IRQ line pads were provided in both polarity for IRQ output to run to some other port. I did experiment with the printers /STROBE line but only so far as toggling the pin and watching a crude...

Re: Atari Falcon 030 / STFM Motherboards Chips

Hehe, yes its me. EtherNEC is about 10 years old now. I guess I should update the website. As for that Falcon, I don't have a Falcon PSU to try powering it up, and I don;t seem to have a memory card for it. I don't know how I ended up with these without memory modules! The DSP is damaged on this one...

Re: Falcon DSP problems

Have you guys tried another piece of software that uses DSP, some demos, ACE Tracker, Falcamp, even the old Musicom? I just listened to the audio sample you recorded and it doesn't sound like SDMA clock line. That usually sounds like a digital radio that has poor reception (chirping birds, underwate...

Re: GFS: Falcon 030

The price doesn't bother me much, needs to go to a home where it will be used. I stopped using it, and its sad for it to be sat in a cupboard. I'll probably regret it one day, but I still have a couple of STs. I know many people haven't played with one, so I hope it gives someone that opportunity.

Re: GFS: Falcon 030

It is me who is selling it. I know the description is a bit short. Ebay can be funny sometimes, sometimes you get a lot of interest, other times not. The keyboard is an STFM one. The HD is a IBM IDE 2.5", it came to me with it fitted. The old Connor drives were awful. The VGA is a mod, the original ...

Re: Falcon 030 Hw mod

Pin 4,6 should not be touching the chip below! The following should be connected: 2,3, 5,9,11,13

The loose wire will attach to the via near the cut track, I reckon.

Re: Falcon 030 Hw mod

The pin numbers you got sound all wrong, are you reading it the right way? It shouldn't have anything to do with L102 or 32MHz, don't connect it to that!

Free to collector from Bristol. The controls are a bit "noisy", has 15 pin VGA connector but you can buy adapters for Falcon/ST. Can display all resolutions. PM if interestted.

Re: FS: Falcon with upgrades

I can probably do that. The Case is the heavy part, including the HD/CDROM/PSU etc. Just the motherboard would be cheaper shipping, I've checked and it looks to be about £60 unless you can find a cheaper courior. The Falcon motherboard would be about 5kg, 50cm x 40cm x 10cm.

Here is something I've been working on lately, may go into production if there is interest. Its a reconfigurable platform so can support virtually any platform (complexity limited). I created a modified Eiffel with support for two PSX controllers. You can even add extensions to the IKBD to use the force feedback/dual shock etc.
