Hi tried ACE TRACKER on my laptop last year on Hatari and it worked fine.
Now on my Windows Desktop with identical Falcon specs loaded Acetracker closes while initialising the DSP.
No matter what option I use Ace tracker does not run.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: A small curiosity of 520ST music :)
Ha,
I haven't tried the falcon output on maxymiser as I don't have a falcon anymore but I would love to hear someone that has done it.
Oh I meant did you use any fix in sound forge to achieve the results?
Because it really is amazing if all you used were your to hardware fx!
Sounds lush!

Re: A small curiosity of 520ST music :)
Great stuff indeed! And even the hardware listed in the original op was minimal so it's amazing whAt you did with that. Did you use any effects in sound forge? Stu's elements ep was recorded using his three channel Mode an sounds luscious when fully mixed . I think maxymiser can route each my channe...

Daisy Chaining ST+zip drive+ akai s1100
Hello all,
I read somewhere of someone successfully daisy chaining an iomega zip drive and a sampler in such as way that he could access both the sampler and the zip drive from the ST.
I was wondering how I should link them for this to work and would I need a scsi terminator?
Thanks.

Re: music from pompey pirates menu 89 (I think)
Resurrecting this old thing!!! On a whim I searched and found the Romeo Knight mod which is at first identical to the menu music. I thought the only difference was that the 4th (drum channel) was missing in the PP menu version. Then I noticed that some of the lead lines in the PP version has little ...

Re: Circuit bending YM2149
minimoo is a bit dissapointing - it responds very slowly to midi commands and even though you can map noise/volume/length to midi pots it takes an age to register movement and doesn't let you control the params simultaneously. When I see my mate with pushpin on his gameboy and his midi control surfa...

Re: Circuit bending YM2149
Not really bending but stu from dropdabomb modded his meg st ..you can see pics on his page http://stu.atari.org/. I think the pots are for individual channel volumes and wave shapes. I think he has hardwired 'proper' ym instructions that can usually be done in software. Unfortunately maxymiser cann...

Really shocked and sad to hear this news.
A really helpful member of this board and a great technical mind, the loss of whom will affect many I'm sure.

Re: very early preview, of my Ym-2149 tracker for the PC
This does look very very good.
I don't think there is any need for a vst module as long as you have midi.
Then it can be used with any vst or external mod (or even a real Atari!!!)
.
Great job

ATX power supply and STE
Hey all, I know a number of people here have powered their STs from ATX power supplies but I can't seem to find any instructions on how to do this. I've been told that my Atari rebooting itself every time I access the floppy or random 2 bomb errors may have something to do with the power supply. Cou...

Re: OCTALYSER on Atari STe
I did what you suggested (octamed 4) but it STILL doesn't let me play midi if notes are placed in tracks after no.4 ????? On the atari only autiosculpture has full midi...unfortunately it is MIDI OR Audio - you cannot mix :(. TCB tracker I hear does midi sync? Can someone confirm this? On the falcon...

Re: OCTALYSER on Atari STe
Yersmyey! I love your track...proper old skool!!! Well done! I thought of composing on octalyser more for this underlay/overlay editing (that I haven't found in octamed)...with this feature I used to create fake gating effects on musicmon. I will probably create melodies for songs in octalyser but o...

minnymog!!! You are a tracking sage!!!!!! You really need to become the tracker guru at 8bitcollective. People would really appreciate your wisdom. I never knew about this overlay/underlay feature....It's what I use to fake the illusion of more channels on musicmon! I thought only musicmon does this...

kinda been my golden grail breh ;) *Audiosculpture has some funky midy matrix thingy where individual midi channels can be mapped to different sounds drum module style. Miggy mog I believe is the man to ask about that. * I was soo happy when I finally got the manual for audiosculpture (thanks again ...

Thanks a lot again for your help. I don't believe it is a virus as this is no longer my main machine..it's just whenever I bring it out it does this.
