Re: Hatari 1.6.0 build OS X question

Dal, You do need to copy the SDL framework that I included in the zip file. I was not able to embed the SDL framework into Hatari.app. I know it is possible to do this, but I do not have the Xcode knowledge. If you do not want to use the patched framework I included, you can download a pre-release v...

Re: Hatari 1.6.0 build OS X question

Rich, I have attempted to compile 1.6 to work with Snow Leopard rather than just with Lion. However, I don't have easy access to a Snow Leopard machine to try it out. I did compile it as a 32-bit binary in case your Mac is not 64-bit. I have also included the SDL framework that was compiled for me i...

Re: Hatari 1.6.0 "Happy New Year 2012" has been released

I used my own TOS 2.06 copy and it's not working in monochrome. Now i tested EmuTOS, and it works. The TOS Images 1.02, 1.04 and 2.06 i have don't start except TOS 2.05 Thats all my own copies. I just wanted to mention that Hatari hangs for me if I use monochrome with TOS 1.0. I have compiled it fo...

Re: Hatari 1.6.0 build OS X question

Damo, That is exactly what I meant. I tried to set the ALERT_HOOKS environment variable to 1 in order to get the Mac dialog box. I did this from one of the header files. I do not remember which one right now. However, I received an error stating that certain functions were not defined for x64. I jus...

Re: Hatari 1.6.0 build OS X question

Rich, I can, but before I would like to ask a question of the hardcore open-source guys :) Further to what's been said above, I wonder about the use of 'make' and 'make install'.. At the moment I don't use make, I build from within xcode IDE.. So as a result I don't perform a make install either.. ...

Re: Hatari 1.6.0 build OS X question

Actually, there is a list of command-line options. You will find them in the hatari.1 man file in the doc folder that was created when you extracted the .bz2 file. If you did a "make install", I am guessing it would install the man page in the proper directory so you could simply type "man hatari" a...

Re: OSX 'Lion' - Any issues with Hatari?

It's normal that you cannot access the OSX GUI while in fulls screen mode, as it's in fact only an SDL windows, no Mac GUI. You can still access the SDL GUI, anyway. That is fine. The different quit screens are a slight mystery to me. I also noticed that the OS X GUI did not allow me to select a ha...

Re: OSX 'Lion' - Any issues with Hatari?

Great news. About MacOsX GUI: I never tested the English version... If you have some feedback.... Except for the difference in the quit dialogs between your compiled version of Hatari and what I can compile from the source code, I think the English version of the OS X GUI looks great. It's t...

Re: OSX 'Lion' - Any issues with Hatari?

Here it is: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RGQK0ECG Remove any SDL.Framework you may have somewhere (in /library/Frameworks or in your homedir Library/Frameworks), Hatari will use the embeded one, wich is the patched one. A new build for ppc, aso. Due to ppc64 support broken in my XCode env recently ...

Re: OSX 'Lion' - Any issues with Hatari?

If you get a version of Hatari compiled with the patched SDL framework, I would be happy to try it out on my iMac with Lion installed.

Re: OSX 'Lion' - Any issues with Hatari?

Based on this recent post to the SDL development list, I am hoping that we see a Lion patched version of SDL 1.2 soon.

Re: HATARI 1.5 PPC OSX

Jerome Vernet already said he posted some binaries to http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QYQFOQQ0 I'd like to get some feedback from people before putting those on the project page. Nicolas I found this binary when I was searching the hatari-devel list looking for an OS X binary of 1.5.0. Since the copy ...

Re: OSX 'Lion' - Any issues with Hatari?

If you were able to build Hatari earlier with OSX GUI, it was already finding & using SDL include files & libs. Only the menus & dialogs are OSX code, the Hatari window itself is all done with SDL. It is my mistake. I was trying to use the patched SDL framework to compile with. When I use the stabl...

Re: OSX 'Lion' - Any issues with Hatari?

Hi, I'd like to attempt some Hatari related dev on the MAC (osX10.4.11ppc) are there links / resources? cheers /nativ You will need cmake in order to use the configure script to create a Makefile in order to compile Hatari. The website is: http://www.cmake.org. You can find the source code at Berli...

Re: OSX 'Lion' - Any issues with Hatari?

Ok, then it's not the resolution change related. If you were using the OSX UI version, you might try also building a plain SDL version to see whether it works better, but the issue really is in the underlying SDL (is there an upstream SDL bug on that?), then that doesn't help either. Eero, Unfortun...

Re: OSX 'Lion' - Any issues with Hatari?

Eero, I downloaded cmake for OS X so I could build Hatari. It was very simple after that. I had to manually enter your changes into screen.c since I did not see a way to merge the diff file into screen.c automatically. I did get Hatari to compile with your changes. Unfortunately, Hatari still crashe...

Re: OSX 'Lion' - Any issues with Hatari?

Eero, Thanks for the patch. However, I have never compiled Hatari from scratch. I picked up a copy of 1.5.0 from a link I saw on the Berlios Hatari developer list. If I download the source code, will I be able to easily compile it with Xcode 4.1? I do not know if you either have a configure script o...

Re: OSX 'Lion' - Any issues with Hatari?

Yes, 1.4 has the same problem. Even the last version uploaded on Berlios for OS X (1.3.1) has the fullscreen problem in Lion. The problem is the version of the SDL framework (1.2) that Hatari uses. I tried plugging in a patched SDL 1.2 framework into the Hatari application bundle, but it still crash...
