Re: ext2 won't mount?
Strange question, are there drivers for TOS to access the ext2 and fat partitions created under MINT?

Re: The LaST Upgrade - Part 9 - CT60 FIRMWARE UPDATE
Mine doesn't have the resister either. One of the reason I went with the USB programer is because I didn't want to modify the CT63. I'll likely never see one again if this one dies. I wonder of there wasn't solder bridge shorting out the pins?

Sure, point out that little detail, which I missed.wongck wrote:1st paragragh of the guide does say you need to make sure that minix.xfs and ext2.xfs are on the MINT folder.

What's the minix.xfs file used for? I just copied the ext2.xfs file over.
Good guide BTW, moving along nicely with my setup...

Something had been bugging me about the CT60 for a while... I have "fixed" it and its just booted NVDI, and its not crashed once yet.. I will keep testing to see if I can crash it, but all the known ways for it to crash I have not been able to do yet 8O Here is the image.. Other than you took the l...

Re: The LaST Upgrade - Part 9 - CT60 FIRMWARE UPDATE
When I first got stated with my CT63 I had a tons of problems with it. It turned out that the initial software download was corrupted for the xControl software. I can't remember who set me straight on this, but once this was fixed my CT63 has been very solid.

Re: The LaST Upgrade - Part 9 - CT60 FIRMWARE UPDATE
Another problem I just run into, is I updated the firmware to 201 (I think) and now it seems to have reprogrammed the CTCM module to 71mhz. My CPU will not run at 71mhz, so now the CT60 will not boot up  It will boot with a 64mhz osc in there, so nothing wrong, but how the heck are you suppos...

Re: The LaST Upgrade - Part 9 - CT60 FIRMWARE UPDATE
May be it was because you are using USB while I was using LPT. I don't think it has anything to do with the USB cable, I used it and it went smooth on my CT63 last weekend. I did install the software off the CD and I did purchase the xilint USB box. I elected to register the software, wonder if thi...

I found the module in the archive (duh!) and am all set. Now to work on networking and getting the shell running.jfl wrote:The kernel is modularized. Re: ext2 won't mount?
So, no sign of xfs anywhere. I'm running mint 1.18.0 on the Falcon. Searched the C: drive, no sign of any xfs file. Found a copy of ext2.xfs on the VanillaMINT distribution and copied it to my 1-18-0 directory. Fixed the problem. Am I ok running the version of ext2.xfs from 1.17.0? Any idea what els...

Re: ext2 won't mount?
Just checking: you are running mint right? I guess the only way I can think that this might fail is if you don't have the xfs in the proper mint folder and/or have set mint not to load xfs'. MINT correct! Sorry about that. I'm running the standard .cfg files, with very little changes. Let me check...

ext2 won't mount?
Not even 100% sure of that, but I've followed WongCK's tutorial. mkfs.ext2 does what it should, and fsck.ext3 will check the disk, but I can't access it from the desktop. FSETTER also does not recognize it. I spent a lot of time reading the forums last night, but couldn't find an answer. Anyone seen...

Re: Yeah! SvperVidel arrived today!
That would suck, I'm running at 80 mhz now. (Not that it's not crazy fast for an Atari)... Dropping to 76 mhz solved the crc error. So more questions now: So what's the best desktop to use with MINT? What's the best way to go about setting up the system to dual boot? It would be nice to be able to ...

Re: Yeah! SvperVidel arrived today!
I take it you're not referring to the TOS Desktop, but rather to the XaAES. Currently there is no Supervidel-specific video setup module, no. This might happen in the future though. Until then, either set it in xaaes.cnf, or remove the "video" line from xaaes.cnf and set the "default" line in SV.IN...

That worked, I now have drivers and my SV is working fine in Mint. Now I have a ton of questions! A couple to start. Is there anyway to switch the video mode from the desktop, or is the only way to edit the xaaes.cnf file (I set video in Xaaes to 0x441f)? I'm geting the following error on my CT63 on...

The expansion port on the side of the A500 is similar to a Zorro II slot in an A2000. Not exactly the same, but they made side carts that allowed you to install an Zorro II card.dlfrsilver wrote:Good question about the port..... i have not found any infos yet about it

Re: NEW IDE Controller & TOS 2.06 board (with extras)
I got a CF packaged microdrive, which is probably closest to a real hard drive. HDDriver and AHDI both recognize the drive, when booting from floppy but neither is able to partition it as they can't find the root sector. The microdrive is formatted as FAT in PC. Neither HDDriver nor AHDI isn't able...
