Re: Cubase Lite not working

It know it doesn't answer your original question, but I've discovered the Atari Sequencer "Sweet Sixteen!", which is freeware and seems quite convenient to use. You might give it a try as well: http://www.ronimusic.com/freeware.htm for the floppy emulator, you might try gotek + hxc firmware. Gotek c...

Re: Cubase Lite not working

if you can't format any of the floppies, either your floppy drive has some failures in some occasion (for example it can read but not write), or those floppies are not correct (too old?). I guess if you format from DOS it's not the same as if you format from ATARI, so the final space might differ. Y...

Re: SMS core

Yes, modded core is '15kHz only', no more VGA compatible... ok, thanks, I wasn't sure. The initial message above said: Now SMS core has 15kHz support I thought it was just in addition, like for other cores. Funny enough, I had to reformat my SD card and I hadn't any backup for all my files... until...

it looks very cool! It's a pity you removed the videos. maybe some auto "pixelize" screen effect could make it look more retro (even if the original artwork is awesome by itself)? a bit like that: https://lut.im/JehmwiqqkM/oKyiIcaci7LdgDoN.gif it doesn't look better, but just more like old games!

Re: SMS core

that's strange because with the latest SMS core I can't use it on my VGA monitor. scandoubler_disable=1 is NOT enabled in my mist.ini (it's commented) and all other cores are working OK. First time it wrote something like "out of range" (I've tested again, in fact it said "Analogic cut 31,5khz / 15 ...

Re: Cubase Lite not working

how many floppies did you get? Have you tried to format them all, or at least several of them? You should be able to format them from the atari gem desktop. From the picture on ebay, it's real 720 k floppies, so there is only 1 (coverable) hole on the floppy, not 2, right? With 2 holes like this one...

Re: Cubase Lite not working

1/ You can probably format your floppy using Fast Copy III (just use the "format tool" and select more sectors / end etc 2/ maybe your floppy is defective? I've started using normal floppies copied / modified from my PC, then I got tired of the sector errors, and now I'm using a gotek + HxC firmware...

Re: Cubase Lite not working

format your floppy in 800k!
Btw it seems the content is just below 720k so it should fit. You can maybe delete the printer drivers and the readme to get some more space.

yes, it's a very good palette. I'm also using this one for pixel art.

That sucks, looks like the fpga thing is a group of unfinished emulation projects... not even the 20 Years Atari STE Megademo works... /.../ I finished with an zx spectrum very expensive in my hands... Sorry but I don't agree at all. Most Atari ST games work very well. Many cores are working great ...

it probably mean this song was created using another tool. (For example musicmon which has its own format and can export to sndh)

Re: converting a SNDH into a VGM sound file

while I think about it, some trackers such as Maxymiser save their files directly as sndh, so you should be able to reload them into maxymiser, see the notes and retype the music into another tracker (it will be a tedious work). Some others use an intermediary file.

Re: converting a SNDH into a VGM sound file

vgm is not only for the megadrive system. It can handle several other formats, such as master system, adlib, neo-geo etc. Deflemask is a tracker which can export to several platforms, in vgm format (not all vgm players can replay the newest specifications): http://www.deflemask.com/ (sadly, you can'...

Re: ZX Spectrum reborn in a kickstarter

yes, you're right Kubik. In fact 175 GPB is 200 €, the price for my MiST. The ZX Spectrum reborn has a nice case (real injection, not 3D print) and keyboard, an FPGA with many features and much R&D behind, so the price is quite fair. Maybe it would have been more attractive to someone like me if thi...

are those new cores open source? I guess the original Analogue Mini NT is a closed source product? (btw wikipedia says it's using a Cyclone V fpga). And I think almost $500 for a NES clone is way too much.

Re: ST Mini (Mist Clone)

Time to protect Mist Firmware...May be. The best protection is the fact that it's open source! And it's not that much cheaper, there is no midi ports on this one, and it's not a metal case (some might like it better than the Mist case but for me it's just different). It's an interesting clone anywa...
