Yup that worked. Flashed US roms (both TOS and EmuTOS) and no more rolling picture. Works awesome! I've never actually used 2.06 before so this is great!

Hi vitaflo, Presumably the card is auto-booting o.k. ? If so, then it's loading HDDRIVER.SYS fine. Maybe try re-partitioning and re-installing ? Not using hddriver.sys cuz i'm booting off floppy (tos 1.06). But i am able to see the drives fine. I tried repartitioning with hddriver and ppera's drive...

So after finally putting my Atari back together, now any apps I put on my flash drive, when launched will give 3 bombs. I looked this up and it says it's an address error. Any idea what would cause this? I can seem to read and write to the drive, but launching programs poops out on me.

I used ppera's drivers on this and they work well for TOS/DOS formatting. I found the interface more intuitive than hddriver anyway (it's only one screen). I just need to remember to not transfer files with long names to the card from Windows/Mac and to get rid of all the hidden cruft these new OS's...

I can't understand that from all of my DD floppies only one is readable. All others format ok in either ST or PC but the ST just won't be able to read the stuff written on it on the PC. It depends on the eproms you are using. They're socketed, the problem is changing the jumper. Need to desolder and resolder the right jumpers, thus my inexperience.

There are many people on here who can provide you with updated TOS EPROM chips, but you will need to do some quick soldering to three zero ohm resistors which act as jumper selectors. Yes, the IDE ports face the back. But there are some pictures earlier in this thread that show the orientation. Also, Pin 10 is on the far right side and if you angle the clip horizontal with pin 10 at a fairly low point on the pin, you'll notice that there's a gap in the plastic shield that snugly...

I believe the distortion comes from the LMC 1992 audio controller in the STe's. It's volume output is set pretty high and causes distortion. You can reduce this in software via Microwire. Note this shouldn't affect regular ST's or the Falcon as they don't have microwire.
