Good bye
I notice that old versions of my softwares are still listed here without my agreement : https://demozoo.org/sceners/33044/ also http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=59742 (and maybe some more elsewhere) This is not right. These softwares do not belong to the demoscene realm. I never participate to a ...

Re: Demozoo removals
When I ask to remove one entry on pouet.net.
To reject my argument "my crap is not demoscene stuff", Havoc quotes : pouët != scene && scene != pouët
This is insane.
Are these websites unable to remove datas?

Re: Demozoo removals
Thanks, but I asked the admins and modos: no effect. I still maintain my software, I code for free, I ask nothing in return, but I consider still having the right of fatherhood: how my productions is distributed: as far I as I am concerned, I do not want old crappy versions of not-demoscene programs...

Demozoo removals
This is not a demo title, though the subject runs as long as a demo making. I regularly notice that my not-demoscene and out-dated versions softwares are still listed on demozoo.org and pouet.net. I asked the admins to remove them, but still no effect nor answer. For exemple: https://demozoo.org/sce...

I don't know. Since there is no scrolling and few animation, I'll try to vro_cpyfm not the whole screen, but parts. But don't hope to run it absolutly on stock Atari machine (if so, you will be disappointed).

- 256 colors to TC32 screenmode.
- 640*480 minimum (windows will be truncated if less, I may work on 320*240 unwindowed mode). NVDI strongly advised.
- quick 68K or ColdFire, GEM environment.

Re: .App extension < How to use?
I read somewhere, and some applications use this behavior : .APP extension is used to suggest that it can be renamed as .ACC and run as accessory.
.PRG are supposed never run as accessories.

Re: 68080 Apollo Core
I'm just hoping that the stand alone Vampire card will be Atari compatible one day, because this will be the most amazing atari platform out there (and way cheaper than current price for falcon/firebee) - for now, Vampire V4 standalone is a GEM clone, FreeMiNT+EmuTOS with enhanced screenmodes, like...

Re: 68080 Apollo Core
closed commercial project - true, currently focused on Amiga - true, but the authors are open minded and IMO there is an opportunity to convince them somehow to open a bit more for Atari community. At start, it was homebrew. And became commercial when Amiga users asked for more cards, with industry...

Re: 68080 Apollo Core
Nobody can explain why memory is so slow on firebee. "Flexbus" : main memory (ST-RAM and TT-RAM) is located in the 512 MB RAM of the ColdFire domain, video memory is in the FPGA domain. So rasters move in a bottleneck named flexbus. Effect is similar to the 030/Videl/ST-RAM of the Falcon. This beha...

Re: Specify that app is single-tasking?
Test in your program at start your ap_id number, given by appl_find ("MYAPP "), where "MY_APP " is your program name (with spaces to fill 8 characters). If ap_id = 0 then your are in singleTOS mode (usualy, the desk has ap_id = 0, but your application replaces the desk in monoTOS). If ap_id > 0 then...

2. There is a permanent horizontal scroll bar in the message list window no matter whether I ensure all the fields are bunched up on the left to just fill (but not exceed) the window or all the way on the right (which is how I have it now) with a vast amount of unused horizontally scrollable space....

Re: Email clients for Mint
the folder list is a huge waste of precious real estate on a 640x480 screen, See in the preferences - display options: disable icons in the folder window, - select fonts: the archive provides small and elegant ones, - window layout: folder + headers windows (shadow of email content window, opened w...

Re: Aranym and Troll
Troll wil run if enough RAM (plenty of TT-RAM is better). Have a look at the ST-Guide (*.HYP file) documentation provided in Troll's archive. You need to study the TCP/IP layer that will be used on your Aranym setup. Troll can run with MiNTnet+GlueSTiK (GlueSTiK only needed for the resolver function...

Re: GFA Basic, STOS or Asm?
NVDI is a fast VDI since version 3. It's a clean rewrite of the bad-and-quick-written official VDI. NVDI has new functionnalities in version 4 and 5, but these are not necessary for game: mostly for font management (TTF, charset) and printing (VDI is not only for screen management). The only "new" i...

Re: GFA Basic, STOS or Asm?
However, the VDI simply does not offer the necessary functionality. I thought it did. I have managed to do what I wanted with pure VDI. My game productions are here to testify. But this not the subject here. It's easier and quicker with low level coding. On standard Atari ST and for an arcade game,...

From the above: "Never write directly to screen memory, but always fall back to the relevant GEM functions (AES, VDI)" ... oops. You can apply this sentence for yourself (ie https://ptonthat.fr/x2-project/ ) but you don't have to obtrude on someone else. No need to code for GEM compatibility for an...

Re: GFA Basic, STOS or Asm?
GFA Basic should do the trick. But if you know 68K ASM, that will be smoother than Basic. If your goal is to run your game on stock Atari, then it's easy. If you want to run your game on every Atari ST and compatible, that will be harder. There are some unspoken rules, most of it is located at http...
