Re: Remote development on ST/TT/falcon
It is actually not difficult to implement a Falcon keyboard on that Mac. You need an FTDI USB<->TTL serial adapter. Set the FTDI's baud rate to 7812.5 baud (divisor 384, subdivisor 0) and connect it to the Tx/Rx pins on the Falcon keyboard connector. Now you can start pushing keyboard/mouse events ...

Re: [A]tari [G]ame [T]ools - 2D prototyping engine for STE
Well, I think I need to get back on track again with my ideas and projects. So many things which are not even finished and I was pushed back by the Blitter hardware problems I was facing some weeks ago. :( However, this thread should return to the AGT discussion again. ;) I would like to add the AGT...

Re: Remote development on ST/TT/falcon
This came out as a working solution after spending some time to find a proper streaming configuration for cvlc: cvlc -vvv v4l2:///dev/video0 --v4l2-width 720 --v4l2-height 576 --v4l2-fps 50 --v4l2-chroma mjpg --sout '#std{access=http{mime=multipart/x-mixed-replace;boundary=--7b3cc56e5f51db803f790dad...

Re: Remote development on ST/TT/falcon
That USB capture card is the one I had my eyes on! And since I have a supervidel in my falcon I was gonna pipe the feed via vlc on a mac to another mac. It's really a nice device. Some update on the streaming attempt: I can now watch the live video using ffmpeg and cvlc with the following parameter...

Re: Remote development on ST/TT/falcon
Well, this is an interesting idea. I already have an Raspberry Pi 3 as a "remote development device" which is connected via an USB serial adapter to the Atari STE. The Atari machines are in the basement so it would be really nice to have full access from the upper floor. So I was curious and bought ...

Re: Blitter routine OK on STE, KO on Falcon (skew register)
This is not a typo, it is taken from the blitter faq section 3.j. Sorry, my bad. I shouldn’t assume anything without asking first. :D I was too focused on the „nop“ because that code part will not work as intended when it resides in the instruction cache. I remember that there’s a „tas“ version as ...

Re: Blitter routine OK on STE, KO on Falcon (skew register)
or.b #$80,BlitterMiscReg1.w .waitFinish\@ bset.b #7,BlitterMiscReg1.w Since you're starting the Blitter already with the "or" instruction you only need to check if the Blitter is still running by using "btst". Probably a typo? or.b #$80,BlitterMiscReg1.w .waitFinish\@ btst.b #7,BlitterMiscReg1.w

Re: RetroTINK 2X-SCART with Atari STE
However I think there has been a shift in the price of the OSSC to about £68 and I'd recommend that instead. (P.S. I've not bought from this vendor) Probably a good catch. However, you should be aware of this: https://videogameperfection.com/2019/04/19/about-bootleg-osscs/ I am not sure if the qual...

Re: RetroTINK 2X-SCART with Atari STE
The screenshots have been taken from an old Samsung TV which is arguably not the best for judging the image quality. I'll have to check it on the newer TV later on. Maybe I'll do a video recording as well.

Re: RetroTINK 2X-SCART with Atari STE
Nice Anima, I have been tempted by one of these rather than the expense of an OSSC. Do you have any screenshots? In fact, the OSSC was also on my wish list for the ultimate experience. The RetroTINK was interesting due to the optional blur effect mode and the compact design. Tests with different ad...

RetroTINK 2X-SCART with Atari STE
FYI: I've got hold of a RetroTINK 2X-SCART device today and I have to say that it works fine with my Atari STE. 8) retrotink.jpg Firmware version 1.2 a nice "blur effect" has been added which is quite nice for dithered graphics: Low-res YPbPr mode for mimicking pixel dithering effects. Filter button...

Re: Atari STE Blitter objects demo (new record)
Thanks for reporting.
I am still curious if I am the only one with the hardware issues. Most likely it's related to the CPU type I had. Anyway, I am happy that it's fixed now.

Re: Atari STE Blitter objects demo (new record)
Here is a first test version for Blitter equipped Atari STs. It has no sample playing and the rasters have been disabled. I need some feedback from hardware users if it runs fine on their machines because I only tested the binary on Hatari so far.
