I've met Andreas on the "Atari" sphere, we used to chat and e-mail a lot as he was developing his coding skills (and how quickly he did it, he simply wrote the tutorials as he learned!), he was certainly one of the "good guys", I'm shocked about this, sometimes it seems like life just plain sucks. H...

As for the library, I know bpadinha had a code project which he showed me that he used the godlib for Correction, my (currently stalled) game development isn't using GodLib directly, but I have adapted parts of it, such as the IKBD handler. Also, looking at its source has been a hell of a way to le...

Re: Where do I start???
I have just spotted the "Gamebase ST Project" which seems to support the STeem emulator but offers most of the games instead of me having to download files from the likes of Pompey Pirates etc. Which is easier and better to use? It's not completely clear to me which alternatives you'd like to compa...

There's a small nice example program for rasters in STOS (+asm) by someone called Falcon (not to be mistaken with the Atari machine!
) in ICTARI #2 (http://www.funet.fi/pub/atari/mag/ictari/ictari02.zip).

stgameslist.atari.org updated, Fuzion now included
Hi everybody,
Just to let you know that the Fuzion CD list is now also included in http://stgameslist.atari.org.
While at it, me and RetroGamerUK classified a bunch more of games, meaning there is a game type for about 57% of the games in the list.

There's several of "Sorry - Not available" there. Does that mean the menu was never out, or that the author of the list just didn't have it? if it's the later, does anyone have information regarding those ones, the actual menus, or a complete list? For your reference, these are the missing ones: 15 ...

In case you are (or you don't mind) using Steem, there's a relatively accurate way of measuring your code's speed: there is a set of built-in debugging registers which you can activate and read from your code, which will tell you the number of cpu cycles since the last vbl, hbl, etc. Check http://st...

Small update on http://stgameslist.atari.org
Hi, Lately me and RetroGamerUK have been working on the games/docs/compils list at http://stgameslist.atari.org and we'd just like you to know we've added some more statistics (and improved the previous), and also many more games now have type classifications (most of A*, B*, and S*-Z*, at least). W...

If you mean to code in C/SDL for the TOS-platform per se (i.e., not necessarily the Atari ST/E), you need to check this page http://membres.lycos.fr/pmandin/ . If your focus is really specific on ST/E, than I'd recommend PureC, obtainable from the Reservoir Gods site, where you can also download the...
