Re: Netsurf

There are a couple, I saw one the other day, for sting/stik - I'll see if I can find it

I dont know if I have it local, so check file servers & mirrors (like kurobox or funet & lip6)

(typing this on HighWire on BeePi - not so easy to provide details)

Re: Probehouse Software

I had tried that previously, Colville is a really tiny play, maybe not even 100 people in the whole area (a village of about 20 houses), I was suprised MSN had it, the other 2 I can change servers and get the right country. if they all use MSN they all have the "Day Time" problem AFTER initial updat...

Re: Probehouse Software

ok I just realized I changed the time output using the "Boot Falcon/TT" CPX a day or 2 ago, not sure if that caused a problem, but anyway I set the Timezone What I did just see is that the " Day Time " problem is only with MSN, there was one I cound not change, and after its initial correct update(a...

I use phWeather atm. I used phWorldClock and phClock in the past, and tried phGmap when it was released ------ The version of " phWeather " on BeeBox (BeeKey and BeePi) should be updated (if you use it) With the latest version (v2.6): - at about 2am I saw it was using "daytime" graphics, it has not ...

Re: Which AES to use with 4MB ST ?

I had a look at the GitHub repo and the NEWS file (also in the zip) says that from 0.90 they changed a lot of things (0.91 is the current version), and that had reduced its (AES) functionality They have a full commit history in the repo, so it should be possible to build a new version of 0.89 - I am...

Re: RPMint Distribution

for those who want to try cross compiling with Vincents 'cross-mint' but dont use Ubuntu (yet - like me), I have updated the scripts mentioned on the mint mailing-list: NOTES: They are designed for any Debian based distribution. The will also work on Ubuntu, but this is not the the standard Ubuntu w...

Re: RPMint Distribution

@WongCK: RPM is fine, but most packages require the new RPM version, and there was a problem getting it build on MiNT at sometime in the past, so that either needs to be fixed, and/or, new packages have to be "back ported" to the older RPM that works. @ragnar76: I have a plan, that may or may not in...

Re: TeraDesk 2020 build

@FrankB: I'll have a look at it - it may be a speed thing on TOS build, might have to make it an option for MiNT build, it should be ok @Latz: thanks for correction :) is that hidden files "dot" files under mint or "hidden attribute" files on TOS (or VFATFS) @Stormy: thanks, np, unfortunately today ...

Anyone not on 'i386' or 'amd64' can use the following script to build Vincent's 'cross-mint': https://gist.github.com/paulwratt/b401937124906803628cb3a34d3d36f1 it should even work on 'm68k-linux'. its not intellegent, if you see an error fly by it will be a build depends (but I think I got them all...

TeraDesk 2020 build

Does anyone have any patches they want included in a new TeraDesk release, or fixes that might be possible? I have started adding the ability to save and load configs with a "mask" in the "desktop icon" part of the config (similar to recording the "mask" in the "open windows" part of the config), wh...

Re: RPMint Distribution

I am still surpirsed no one have come up with a command lne only build of ARAnyM yet, which by itself (without any gfx/snd/desktop/hw emu etc overhead) would speed up compilation. https://github.com/vivier/qemu-m68k would be ok, but no one (to my knowledge) has ever got EmuTOS or MiNT running on it,...

Re: Port programs to MiNT

if the project does not touch (directly address) anything like sound, video or GUI, then it might work out of the box. eg most RPM src pacages from circa 1993-1995 will compile out of the box on SpareMiNT/EasyMiNT, or with minor fixes. Have you tried compiling anything from source on linux lately. i...

Re: Which AES to use with 4MB ST ?

how is this going @marcello, I have been collecting Oliviers "MyHatari" 68000 build for a long time, to use on 4Mb STe, new (smaller) PureC build sounds good. Did you try oAESis yet? I found it years ago but not the .PRG and so not tested it yet.

if you have sources (NetBSD & TUW) then you are halfway there 50%. And you already know that the ur card is working on NetBSD, so that is another 25%. even experienced programmers at some point have to hit a learning curve for Network Drivers. Lots of notes are needed, until you are able to understa...
