Once Hatari implements SCSI driver for TT emulation - we'll have an emulator capable to run ASVEero Tamminen wrote:Regarding MMU support in emulators...
Aranym emulates 040 and its (simpler) MMU.
While latest Hatari can emulate those, it can emulate also 030, its MMU and instruction & data cache.

Re: Atari TT030 and system V
Great to hear that! Awesome that you got another TT up and running. Let us know how your experiences with ASV go. There is quite a lot of work to be done between the images. I think that Mark's image has quite bit of additional software that Richard's image doesn't have. Another unsolved mystery so...

Re: Atari TT030 and system V
Well done!
mfro what happened with ASV floppy disks? Did you manage to backup them?
I think it will be great if we manage to find a working 'RUNTIME PRODUCT' qic tape and to start this from scratch with fresh install.

You should ask about ram speed (60-70ns). They exclude Bulgaria but you can ask them. Sometimes it is just a precaution. Thank...

Re: Atari TT030 and system V
alexb was so kind to give me a PAM's NET VME card. According to NetBSD the IO_ADDR and MEM_ADDR for PAM VME card are 0xfecffff0 and 0xfecf0000, I changed them in edt_data So far so good, ASV detects the card LA: controller 0 at 0xFECFFFF0 Here's come the bad news. After kernel compiles the LA module...

Re: Atari TT030 and system V
The easiest way is to attach 50pin scsi controller to your pc and boot some live linux dist. Then just write the image using dd. Sadly, no SCSI on the PC side anywhere. Amiga, Atari, Mac and even my C64! :) Could this be installed on a CF card, I'm using a CF adaptor in my TT. I can image the card ...

Re: Atari TT030 and system V
And the tapes are... where right now? Attic. Unfortunately, at least one of them isn't readable anymore (with my tape drive, that is). They seem to be merely historic value. I have several image copies of the disk contents, however. Did you manage to backup them, if not could you make dd images + t...

Re: Atari TT030 and system V
Do you think the UE12(richard's image) is version 1.02 or probably 1.2 ?
The documentation is about version UE10 - probably 1.0 and mark's image is 1.1
So at least three different versions exist.
I hope the installation media(floppy + QIC tapes) didn't vanished.

Re: Atari TT030 and system V
Installation media??? Didn't know it exist.
But for sure there will be a problem with hdd > 2GB
during installation similar to installing of motorola's sysv68k or sysv88k, apple's a/ux etc.

Re: Atari TT030 and system V
I got it running only by changing the scsi cable and drive(ST3620N). Before that I tested it with few quantum and ibm drives and always got this parity error. They work with NetBSD. Did someone manage to get network running with asv-richard's image. Or anyone has another ASV image in which the netwo...
