BW,
Is the ultimate goal to have this as a purchasable product? If so, will the standard PSU fit or will that need to change?
Regardless, great work!

Re: Using the Falcon's expansion connector
This project looks promising. I'd be very interested in a faster 68030 for the Falcon if that is where this is headed.

Re: Merry Xmas 2020 - Santa Demo
I used Hatari at 8 MHz with TOS 2.06 to make it, maybe if those settings aren't exact things get out of timing.Eero Tamminen wrote: ↑Thu Dec 24, 2020 7:48 pm Thanks! It works fine with Hatari STE emulation + EmuTOS v1.0.
(Only minor glitch is that it doesn't stop the sound at exit.)
Thanks for taking the time to try it.

I did not know that. Thanks for that information.
If Modmate hangs around here, I hope you don't mind that I included your tune.

Merry Xmas 2020 - Santa Demo
I made a short Xmas demo in GFA BASIC and thought I'd share it here. It includes a .SND file that I did not make, but I cannot locate who did so hopefully it is okay to include.
To load you need to be in ST Low and launch GFABASICO.PRG then chose SANTA.GFA.

VCF has a Mega STE and wants advice
The Vintage Computer Federation's museum at the Infoage Science Center has recently had their Mega STE repaired and what to put it on display. They asked me for suggestions on what to have running on the Mega STE as people go through. They are looking for suggestions on looping demos as well as some...

Re: ST and Amiga Twitch
Thanks for the feedback all. The whole thing was thrown together rather quickly but I probably should have solicited some ideas from the ST community beforehand so that I had ideas other than just my own. If I do another, that will be my plan. As for having my own Twitch channel that probably requir...

Re: ST and Amiga Twitch
I do not have a stream. Honestly I had never done anything quite like that before so it was quite the learning experience. I struggled quite a bit trying to monitor the chat so I eventually just stopped trying and I was better able to focus on our conversation. I am certainly open to any suggestions...

ST and Amiga Twitch
Hi all, I was invited by my good friend Amiga Bill to be on his Twitch stream yesterday afternoon. We played some ST exclusive games as well comparing some games that appeared on both platforms. He is an Amiga streamer so obviously the audience is Amiga centric, but his followers were very positive ...

Re: gfabasic: rs232 with 9600 baud? "IN" "OUT"
If I recall you set the baud rate in the ST control panel. I don't think GFA has a setting that overrides that. The book ST Peeks and Pokes does have a listing for ST BASIC though that likely would work if adapted for GFA 5.1 Setting the RS-232 Interface You can only have 6 accessories on the deskto...

Thanks Christos! Yeah, they are an Amiga channel so they are going to have their view on things. Both great guys though and I really enjoy spending time with them. Good natured back and forth.

Yeah, of course we all knew that and it slipped through the editing. Oh well.DarkLord wrote:

The Guru Meditation and my 2019 VCF ST Exhibit
Last year I was part of the 40th anniversary of Atari home computers exhibit at VCF East. During the show, The Guru Meditation YouTube guys Bill and Anthony interviewed me and just today posted the video. I'm sure I got some dates and facts wrong, but I did my best to represent the ST in a positive ...

Re: Help with adding music to GFA project
See this thread: http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=3850 I've seen that thread and got the SNDH code samples, but when I tried to implement the code it would load my background, then just pause my program while the song played, the song would end and then my program would continue. I o...

Help with adding music to GFA project
Over the holiday I have been trying to learn a bit more about programming in GFA BASIC and I have created a program that loads a background Neochrome image, creates snowflake sprites which float down the screen over the background, and then runs a simple scrolling banner across the top. I had hoped ...

Re: Sprite Color
Actually, just changing the value in MKI$(sprite color) is enough, I thought maybe I needed the mask data to match the sprite data too but I didn't. Again, thanks for the tip.
