Agreed. It sounds like Photon Storm ( link to dl : http://www.minotaurproject.co.uk/lc-16bit.php#2 )

*edit* For future reference if anyone's looking for ANY psychedelic game/program, check the Llamasoft catalogue first :D

Re: looking for Bangkok Knights sndh-file

Sorry to double-post, but on the back of that I'd never noticed until just now that in the So Watt demo folder, there's a 'Main menu' tune. My copy of that demo was silent on the screen selection, and the images I've seen on emulator are the same. Anyone know where this tune is if it is in the So Wa...

Re: looking for Bangkok Knights sndh-file

I didn't know this but Bangkok Knights is a C64 martial arts game - a Rob Hubbard conversion. The version in the SNDH archive sounds more grungy. The nice version is featured in the 3D Doc demo from the Carebears Cuddly Demos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aERwdxbHlAU I think that the version use...

Trouble getting a couple of demos to run

It may well be something i'm doing, but I can't get 0913 or strange robots to run in Hatari. I downloaded the zip from demozoo, used zip2st to convert it os an .st image and tried running both from GEM, 0913 bombs out just after it starts and strange robots just doesn't work. I've tried TOS 1.6 and ...

Re: Insert ST files into .ST or HDD disc image (Linux)

Hatari comes with a handy zip2st tool. It creates an .st disk image from ZIP file contents with mtools and dd. Great thing :9 And you can use the supplied hmsa afterwards to make a .msa file out of it. Apologies for the thread revival but thanks for that! I was trying to work out how to play Giana ...

Re: VCF East 2019

For the 520ST I'd suggest the grusel demo as it's well done, fun and in my opinion shows the progression from 8 to 16 bits. failing that or to follow the micromix 1 demo to demonstrate how demos progressed. Oherwise I'd suggest the cuddly demos except the spreadpoint demo has the more profound word ...

Re: Atari ST/Falcon Shareware CDs

It's slow, clunky, a pain to navigate and you probably all know about it but http://www.archive.org has a few ST CD's (including the 'no fragments' collection) as well as older PC and Amiga CD's (including the 4 disc 'Amiga mod archive' that I struggled to find elsewhere). Aside from a link for the ...

There was also a demo with a blue silhouette of a woman dancing. Having had a quick look it was (as I remembered) on the delerious demo by the french alliance ('dancing demo' by the overlanders) - I later found out they'd ripped the animation from a strip poker game.

Re: Atari ST demos on 2 disks supporting drive B

The ST was generally a machine that could cope with one disk drive (unlike the amiga ;) ). From what I remember most two-disk megademos specified in the main menu which disk the demo was on. If I'm honest I only had a second floppy drive for a short while and while I don't recall which demos used it...

Right, I'm up to 'M' on the Atari 800 games on atarimania and nothing like that yet. If I get some time I'll carry on tomorrow.

On the plus side for me I've seen a load of Atari 8 bit games I want to give a go so I'll add some onto my retropie, er, pi.

Re: Looking for help of a game connoisseur

I love the sketches! :) But I don't think these are ST games; the small hint for me was 'one of several games on a cartridge , the ST was disk-based (easy mistake - a friend at work said they had an ST, followed by "You had to load games from tape, didn't you?" - They didn't see my fist until it was...

Re: Bad Apple by Fenarinarsa (Atari STe demo) !!!!!

I think this is on more formats than lemmings was! A quick youtube trail displayed a C64 version, one for the coleco (or intelivision - I always get those two confused) and even the VCS! With obvious Atari bias I still think the STe version looks (and sounds) the best, but they are all quite a techn...

I don't recall that many more productions coming out on the Amiga. Not quality ones. You probably missed a lot of good demos then, Amiga had its share of amazing demos, a lot. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I'm familiar (or I thought I was) with the releases the came out when the machine...

Interesting. I remember hooking my ST up to my mate's A500 for some stunt car racer action. I found back then that Amiga demos displayed presentation whilst the ST ones showed technical achievement, almost trying to catch up with the Amiga's abilities in many cases (something I denied for many years since 1989 until a few years back, when someone on another forum simply said 'the amiga cos...
