Re: Strange behaviour from CosmosEx (and RPi)

Perhaps I was a bit unclear here.

The distro running the RPi behaves differently depending on if the RPi is hooked to the CosmosEx or not.

Unconnected to the CosmosEx Yocto finds usb-ports and network.

Connected to the CosmosEx it doesn't find any of it.

Strange behaviour from CosmosEx (and RPi)

I bought my CosmosEx like a year (or more!) ago, but I haven't got around to start using it until now, but something strange is going on with it. First, according to the CosmosEx homepage the CosmosEx is supposed to work as an ordinary Satandisk without an RPi installed. Well, not here. It refuses t...

Application Switchers

A friend and I discussed application switchers for Atari ST the other day. Instead of switching to a multitasking environment like Geneva or MultiTOS he told me that he had heard about application switchers. Now I have too, and after browsing some Atari Magazines I know the names of three applicatio...

Keyedit revoked!

Speaking of Keyedit... When emulating Atari ST on my PC or my Mac I encounter problems with the mapping of the keyboard. I try to switch layout in steem (or xsteem) but I always lack some keys. At some point I realized that when I had a layout with backslash I lacked the $-sign, and vice versa. Anno...

Completely shameless suggestion: STOS v3!

I surfed on www.ataricq.org the other day and found the source code for STOS Basic. http://www.ataricq.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=222:stos&catid=51:programming&Itemid=82 My humble question is of course: Is there someone out there interested, talented and crazy enough to make a ...

520 STE refusing HD-floppy upgrade

A few years back I bought a kit for upgrading any Atari from DD- to HD-floppydrive. Yesterday I asked a friend to help me install it in my 520STE. The description was very sparsely written, and we tried our best to understand it. Finally the entire project fell on the fact that it asked us to pick u...

Re: Gemulator

I sold my Gemulator board, I think including the manual to Decky. Maybe can scan for you? I got a response to my mail to Derek at the place who created the Gemulator, but all he had to say was that my kit wasn't complete. Nothing about if it was possible for me to get a manual from them. So, if it ...

Re: Gemulator

Yep. Been there. Yesterday. The entire afternoon. First place I visited when I realized I needed help, actually.

But if you're willing to point, why not point EXACTLY to the place where I will find the manual for the Rom Board? Because that's what I haven't been able to find.

Gemulator

Hi.

I got a Gemulator (8 I think) with rom board.

But I've got no manual for the rom board.... anyone who's got one?

I have no idea how to place roms or how to switch the microswitch aboard it.

Frustrating!

Rest in peace, techie_alison. I never knew her personally and never even spoke with her here iirc, but I've had a lot of help from her answers and responses to various threads here. And she wrote the y2k-improved software for Forget-Me-Clock II... which I am very thankful for. She will be sent a tho...

Resolution Headaches

I programmed in gfabasic 3.6TT a little earlier today, and something very annoying happened. I used the XBIOS(5)-function to go from medium to low resolution. On my first tests I let the program tell me if it did it right by printing out a string. So far so good. It looked right, I was satisfied wit...

Falcon AES on MegaSTE

The chairman of Svenska Atariklubben (Swedish Atari Club) and also my good friend: Peter Persson told me the other day that parts of the source for TOS 4.04 was leaked a few years back, and since he knew that I have a MegaSTE up and running, he asked me to try the AES 3.40 included. Normally TOS2.06...

Wanted: A topic called "General Atari"

I wanted to share something with you all that could be in several topics at once (Atari ST Professionals: Applications + Atari Falcon: Professionals, and maybe it is even a smaller announcement of some sort) and realized that Chat Forum [ENG] is maybe too broad/generic...? Re: Is Peter Molyneux the STOS Game Creator....?

I agree with wongck, cushing in the laboratory seems to be the inspiration for the picture.

And I personally think it is way way cooler that the 1988 STOS Game Creator on the box looks like the real life 2008 Game Creator Peter Molyneux! :) It sort of makes him THE Games Creator. :)

Re: Is Peter Molyneux the STOS Game Creator....?

I have now clarified that the box is from 1988 and the picture of Molyneux is from ca 2008. I have also scanned in a picture of Molyneux from ST Format, March 1992. Peter Molyneux (pre-March 1992) http://hem.passagen.se/leach/molyneux.jpg Nota Bene: I have some trouble with this picture... but when ...

Ok. I found a 3.6TT that didn't bomb, and vsetcolor WAS the answer. Problem solved.

4096 colors in Gfa-basic?

Hi, after a loooong pause from gfa-basic, I am back. Right now I want to work with 16 greyscales on the STE, but I don't seem to manage to do that in gfa-basic. Right now I'm using gfa-basic 3.5 (since 3.6tt keeps bombing away all the time). To be honest I'm also using xsteem with tos 2.06. (As soon...

Re: where can I download GFA 3.5 ?

Hi, I tried gfa 3.6tt from Lonnys site in xsteem and tos2.06, but it just keep bombing for me, but I found gfa-basic 3.5 by searching for ST format cover disks on google. There I found it on disk 35b, so if you still search for 3.5 it is possible to obtain.

Re: Satandisk problems

Ok. Problem solved in a passive and weird way. :) Scared as I was that the Satandisk itself was damaged I tried it in my STE - no problems. Out of curiosity I moved the Ultrasatan to the 1040STFM instead. Still not working. Maybe it is dysfunctional - being 23 years old and all, so I dug up an old 5...

Back to square one. :-/

Satandisk problems

I tried to find anything regarding this problem by searching the forum with no luck so here we go: I have a Satandisk connected to my TOS1.02 1040STFM and before it worked perfectly, but now this week it has just acted strange. At first I had to first start the Atari with a AHDI-disk inserted so it ...
