Re: Opinions on PP/petari/ppera HD driver? Anyone using it?

Thanks everyone! Sorry, but I must say something here: certainly that driver is now better than in past. However, problems what SSB talking were actually not driver problems - it was loosing of autoboot after connecting SD or CF card on PC with Windows XP, via card reader. The reason was that partit...

Re: Project: (M)STE PLCC -> DIL solder adapter

I see that Shockwav3's profile says he hasn't logged in since May. I'm still interested in this adapter! :)

I see his "Project rePAK" thread got bumped recently too.

Opinions on PP/petari/ppera HD driver? Anyone using it?

I have an UltraSatan and I'm currently using the ICD driver, but I want my SD cards to work with my Windows computer too. HDDriver is expensive. Has anyone tried this driver? Opinions?

Re: Project: (M)STE PLCC -> DIL solder adapter

It exchanges the PLCC socket originally found in STE machines with a DIL socket, so one can use STFM based expansions. If you're looking for the other way around - I have everything ready for that but don't intend to produce them. Out of curiousity, where did you get that PLCC plug you've used? It'...

Re: Project: (M)STE PLCC -> DIL solder adapter

I'd definitely sign up for one of these boards if it fit in an unmodified 1040 STE case! Err, depending on price range. I have a DIL accelerator lying around that I'd rather put in my 1040 STE than my STF. Mostly because I don't really use the STF, and partly because I don't want to desolder its ori...

So - any news about it? The party starts on this Friday, heh. ;)
I really wanted to do this, but I've just been too busy with schoolwork. :(
Thanks for helping me figure out the programs though!

Re: HOW DO I MOD MY 1040 STfm For 3 Channel Output?

There's this video ... I haven't done the mod, but it seems fairly simple. From what I understand (again: I haven't done the mod, this is just from a brief viewing of that video, and I could be wrong), you should just be able to find a pinout of the YM2149 chip, and look up the 3 pins that correspon...

Re: MOD compo for ATARI ST!!

I am trying to figure out DigiComposer and ProTracker in the Steem emulator, but I'm having some trouble. 1) In DigiComposer, when I go into Disk Ops and click "Load Sample", the program gets glitchy and crashes! 2) In ProTracker, when I try to load a sample, I can successfully navigate to my sample...

Re: UltraSatan TOS/DOS compatible image files (7th Oct. 2009

If you hae 32MB SD card and ICD this shoud be easy! First do not use HDDRIVER images. IN theory they should work for 32MB partitions however I have found a bug in HDDRIVER: It does not write correectly DOS&TOS partitions with less than 32MB (I will document this later). So plug your card on PC use ...

Hey punkrulesok! Where are you located? England? I'm in the US, but I will be in the UK this summer, and I have been planning to pick up an A1200 while I'm over there since they're much less scarce in Europe. I'm not sure what to offer you though. Re: ICD AdSpeed ST: 16 MHz accelerator

Well, I've declared this project a failure for now. I did learn a lot from the attempt though. Winter break is over and I've gone back to school. Maybe I'll give it another shot in the summer. If all else fails I can just stick the accelerator in my STF or sell it. Or perhaps trade with someone who'...

Re: ICD AdSpeed ST: 16 MHz accelerator

My AdSpeed16 has a socketed CPU. If your adapter is OK, the STE should boot and function normally if you remove the CPU from the AdSpeed and insert it directly in your adapter. This will tell you if the problems is with the adapter or with the AdSpeed. Good idea, but the accelerator seems to be jam...

I finished the adapter but I can't get it to work! I've unplugged and replugged it a few times, but every time I turn on the STE I get either a blank white screen or 20 bombs. I used my multimeter's continuity test to make sure each pair of pins is connected properly, and to make sure there are no s...

Re: Trouble with BigDOS (+CBHD)

May be you want to dl the trial HDDriver before purchasing it. Just to make sure that it works with HDDriver. I tried a 32mb card with a single GEM partition on it. I installed the HDDriver demo to it, and was able to boot from it. But as soon as I added an AUTO folder with BIGDOS.PRG inside, I got...

You want to control the ST's YM2149 sound chip via MIDI? MaxYMiser is probably your best bet. It's a tracker, but it has some MIDI control.
