Can we get tapatalk support added to the forum?
Was just curious if the mods could add the free tapatalk module to the forum? http://www.tapatalk.com/en/mobile It is a small download you upload to the forum directory, and you have to add one line to the forums overall_footer.html file. Basically once added it allows android, iphone, blackberry an...

Re: Megamax Companion Disk with Megaroids src? Anybody got i
No there was definitely a companion disk sold. I just don't think it was very popular and the people who bought it probably never copied it for the masses. It wasn't something you got just buying the compiler, it was an extra cost item.
I've just been hoping over time that someone might turn it up.

Yeah, sadly it seems the companion disk is nowhere to be found. The game itself is easy to find, but that elusive source code isn't.

Re: Megamax Companion Disk with Megaroids src? Anybody got it?
Bumping this thread a couple years later. Was hoping someone may have it. A friend over on AA has been looking for this for ages. I've been trying to help, but no matter where I look , I just can't find it.
Anybody got the companion disk with source code to Megaroids?

Re: Preferred Control Method for a 3-Button Game?
Just a note. The Mega STE does not have the enhanced joystick ports. So would love to see an option that supports it also. I have a TT also, but no EJP's there either. Yeah - valid points there. If it is an STE only game, there shouldn't be an issue with making it STE EJP only. If Alison is willing ...

Re: JeST - PSX to Atari JoyPad/Mouse Interface - Finished
Alison, How much for two (would prefer cable already wired into a controller, but wasn't sure how you were optioning them out) shipped to the US? Love the PeST and video cable you made for me a few years back. You can respond in PM if you don't want to clutter this thread. Love the stuff you do! Gre...

Re: Ubuntu
One of the best ways to play with Ubuntu (and Ubuntu derivatives) on Windows systems is Wubi http://wubi-installer.org/ In short you download wubi. You give it a username and password for your Linux system. It downloads the Ubuntu OS for you, creates a file on your Windows hard drive (and I stress f...

Re: gfa compilled execitable is almost fast as asm
Charles, As others have mentioned the actual loops aren't very different between the GFA and Pascal code. The Pascal one might be a little tighter (as you can examine below) but were talking by a small small fraction. In the grand scheme of things this is immaterial. Especially for you and the thing...

Not parsing huh?
Why not post the following since you don't want to post source.
Post the midi file your using. Post the times for all your programs in the various languages.

Re: gfa compilled execitable is almost fast as asm
Seems kinda pointless without seeing the actual times for your tests at a minimum. Also the code for each as Lonny points out would be helpful. Plus if all your timing is loading and playing a midi file it seems kinda odd for a test. The majority of the time should be the actual playing of the midi ...

Re: Ubuntu
Big Linux fan myself. Been using it since the old days when it came on a bunch of floppies. Currently I am really loving Crunchbang Linux. Love it. Openbox is a great environment to work with. Not as user friendly as Gnome/KDE/XFCE but I really like its simple interface. Here is a screen of Crunchba...

Re: where to get good aes vdi examples for asm
Charles,
Is your last post where you say your chopped it down to 312 lines or so your latest version? I took that version verbatim and put it in GFA and had the problems Desty mentions.
If I enter just "1" as the formula and hit enter it bus errors. Even "1+2" bombs.
This is with GFA 3.60 TT

Re: where to get good aes vdi examples for asm

As for adding guidelines.... Quit makin...

Re: where to get good aes vdi examples for asm
Charles, Why not just finish this challenge as my last post suggests? Just implement the basic line calculator. Don't worry about overflow of your data types. Just take input up to 200 characters. Support + - / * and generate correct answers based off that. Don't worry about white space, invalid cha...

Re: where to get good aes vdi examples for asm
Well it is mainly about string parsing. Obviously you have to do some simple math calculations (+ - / *) but I had no requirement for doing floating point or just doing integer math and left that up to each coder. Some put a little more work into it to handle other operations since it is a very simp...
