Re: [Deutschland, Berlin] ST/TT Hardware/Bücher abzugeben

Thank you for your interest. Right now "jvas" was first to ask. If he drops the offer "kcr2000" will be second in line.

Re: [Deutschland, Berlin] ST/TT Hardware/Bücher abzugeben

Any boxed games? ;) No, no games at all. The only Software would be original Pure C disks. Can't tell if these are still readable. So I checked one of the TT with an VME Spektrum Graphics card. This one works. - I have also a decent Hyundai 19" VGA Monitor, which I'd give away with all this stuff. ...

Re: [Deutschland, Berlin] ST/TT Hardware/Bücher abzugeben

I listed the books. Hardware will take some time, since I obviously need to check it for proper functionality after years of resting in boxes.

[Deutschland, Berlin] ST/TT Hardware/Bücher abzugeben

Wenn also jemand Interess...

Re: The LaST Upgrade - Part 6 - PSU

Electrolytic capacitors are well known for being the main weak point in old electronics. Which reminds me on SMD Electrolytic capacitor leakage. Leaking acid onto the PCB and etch off conducting paths. A friend collects arcade PCB boards and went through lots of efforts to replace 'Elkos' with tant...

Re: The LaST Upgrade - Part 6 - PSU

Parts received and soldered! Made a difference in sound and video outputs. Interesting. My 1040STfm with a 4MB extension (board from the F030 actually) has fine vertical lines on the video output. I do remember that (back in the Atari ST days around 1990) RAM extensions where said not to work prope...

Re: RGB LCD Monitor : Recommendation 08/09

ST Low Res is 15KHz horizontal which is the bigger issue. See the ST -> VGA thread for the solution: an external box of electronics. =_=; Right. I forgot. I have such a box. So it would remain try and error if a LCD accepts a ST mono resolution (w/o any external electronics), because of its limited...

Viewsonic VA703b

To re-animate my Falcon030 I made a VGA jack on my SM124 o_o I "only" need the mono mode anyway - for Cubase on my Atari 1040 and DSP Suite on my F030. Has anybody experience with the Viewsonic VA703b? (12/2009 105 Euro) It claims to accept a vertical sync of 50Hz, which would be swell for PAL-Colou...

Re: The TFT LCD Buying Advice Thread

I connected a C64II via Scart-S-Video and it looks like the colour (chroma) signal is not exactly in sync with the Luma signal. White scrolling text looks like a rainbow o_o The Composite Video signal looks 'better'. I'll try an old C64 one day. It seems the Sony needs a second try with most of it'...

Re: The TFT LCD Buying Advice Thread

If LCD has res 1280 it will show Atari's video well - every pixel doubled at med and high. resolutions. Quad by low. True, but that's likely a 'huge' 19" screen then. On my SM124 I have a 10" image (on that 12" screen). So a 12", or 15" LCD would do. But those are certainly older and therefore 'bul...

Re: The TFT LCD Buying Advice Thread

My 17" CRT for my F030 and ST died two weeks ago... As a last resort I got out my SM124 and obviously it had died too T.T So I am checking ebay for (old) 15" LCD screens. I did test my F030 at a LG 19" LCD, but that's too huge - my "Screen Blaster 2" is dead too =_=; I am using only mono res for MID...

Re: STFM internal IDE ?

I was just asking if anyone had done this "particular" arrangement before I spend hours developing a PCB for it all. I'm not upating to TOS206, so if it means I have to load HD8 from floppy then thats fine by me! the ones on your site needs patches, cart ports, ASCI port, TOS 206, GAL's, Im NOT tal...

I "beeped through" the paddleport connecting cable, because the whole issue started as a seemingly loose contact. It would work when I moved the paddle port plug a little and rebooted - till it stopped entirely working. I even soldered the paddle port connector in the F030 itself... However it still...

Screenblaster II tech infos available?

My Falcon claims it can't find the screenblaster II hardware anymore. Maybe some loose contact. However are there any tech infos/schematics available for the screenblaster?

A quick search in this forum and some "googling", did not yield any results in this aspect.

TIA, regards
