Re: Beginning of very long journey

Gerber files can be found at the doc archive for the Falcon(all 6 layers): https://www.dev-docs.org/docs/. This can be used as reference.

Re: ST with weird keyboard.

I was referring to the look being crappy, obviously the original looks great but the mushy feel of the original switches is not exactly satisfying to work with. I wonder if there is a replacement for just the switches, but with original keys?

Re: ST with weird keyboard.

Thanks for the article. Where I live now (Hungary) most people could only afford the stickers at the time.

Re: ST with weird keyboard.

Why the crappy key caps? you can get stickers for any keyboard if you want another layout.

Can anyone tell me if this is a real ST model? I have never seen one with this keyboard.

Re: STE BOOSTER V1 32MHZ & FAST-TOS

Thanks everyone for the help, unfortunately I still can't solve this problem. I've redone some of the soldering to get rid of the slant on the booster, and cleaned up properly. I've done extensive continuity testing on ALL the pins for the CPU to make sure all the traces are working and have found n...

Here is a different crop from the same photo:

Like I said, I had the TOS switcher running for a couple of months now without any issues, here I haven't changed anything since then.

Re: STE BOOSTER V1 32MHZ & FAST-TOS

Here is a slightly better image of the connection. I've double checked this a million times to make sure it is the right pin (6th from left).

Re: STE BOOSTER V1 32MHZ & FAST-TOS

I bought the fast tos switcher a few months earlier and installed it and used it without issues since. I only got the booster recently so this problem only cropped up once I installed it. I double checked again for all traces on the CPU and for shorts and haven't found any problems.

Re: STE BOOSTER V1 32MHZ & FAST-TOS

Hmm, actually reading the tos may be the issue. I checked for continuity on ALL the cpu pins around the board, for this the schematic is a great help (the lettering is very hard to read unfortunately, for the life of me I could not find u210 anywhere). One of the TOS jumpers(yellow) fell out during ...

Re: STE BOOSTER V1 32MHZ & FAST-TOS

I bought one for my STE recently, unfortunately it is not working yet. Previously I have installed the dual rom upgrade, that worked flawlessly. I have Installed the booster according to instructions, with the only difference of using a desoldering tool to remove the old cpu socket (came out perfect...

Thanks for replying. Actually I found the 1.1, 2.0 and 3.1 versions on the pigwa ftp server, unfortunately all in german or french but it's possible to get around the menus. I was thinking of translating the rcs to english.
Thanks again.

raystart.

I have been looking for this, specifically version 3.1 or 3.11. I know it's on the Atari Platinum CD but I can't find that anywhere. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction?
