Re: Atari ST core
There seems to be an intermittent issue with memory allocation after TOS changes and/or Cold Boot (within core) at times. Memory is configured for 4MB, but less is being allocated (looks like 1MB usually) when this issue occurs. Memory size can be easily validated using Sysinfo https://sites.google....

Thank you Sorgelig for bringing this over
For those looking to play around with the new Atari ST core, I'd recommend using these settings for booting floppy games.

Is it just me or has the sound in the Williams cores become even more high pitched/faster than it previously was? I just tried Robotron and it sounds even more off than it previously was (which is immediately noticeable)

Yes, formatting a disk does not work but disk writes do.

Yes it crashes with a Line 1111 error, which should not be happening. This works correctly on a real Amiga.onaryc29 wrote:I've tried to launch epic, a whload version, from the last SM pack, but an error (in the workbench) is raised shortly after the game is launched. Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion
I usually do not use floppy images, but I decided to try some known good ones (with a very vanilla config - 68K/512MB Chip/KS12/13/IDE off). There is definitely some inconsistently odd behavior with the core and floppy images. Sometimes it will just refuse to even boot them (repeatedly showing the W...

corruption starts from the beginnig of play? I found that Gloom behaves weird if you stay on one place for some time like 10 minutes which is not related to instability issue. Your boot.rom is the wrong size, it should be 32k. Ensure that your basic and kernal roms are both 8K and your drive rom is 16K.

World Championship Karate running on an NTSC XL will look like this (barring the overscan areas which you would not see on a standard TV of the era). The green color is correct. I've had VR freeze twice on me now just running in its demo mode - the OSD still works, the game is just frozen. It doesn't happen right away, it has to be left running for a while. MiSTer is up to date.

Re: Scripting news
A graphical dialog wrapper would probably be a good stop-gap. I think in the long run, scripts should only serve the role of very niche/special purpose actions. If something needs to be done by a user all the time (updating, ini settings) a dedicated graphical method is the only sensible choice. Ag...
