Re: MiSTer.ini setting to rotate OSD

Hi Lupin, Where is the cfg.cpp file located? I have the same issue and would like to rotate my screen Thanks wolfemaaan Sorry, the place to modify the setting is actually in the MiSTer.ini file. When I was looking through the source code on github, cfg.cpp is what tipped me off to the configuration...

Re: MiSTer.ini setting to rotate OSD

Okay, I found it in the cfg.cpp file... looks like it's in the format of:

Code: Select all

osd_rotate=#
Where # = 0, 1, or 2. Guess I can brute force what these mean from here.

MiSTer.ini setting to rotate OSD

I found a feature request post from last year at: https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_MiSTer/issues/59 It says you can set it in the config file, but I can't find any mention in the documentation for what the setting actually is? Can someone tell me how to turn this feature on? Assuming that it is ...

Re: Arcade cores

I need sounds for 280zzap and laguna raver. They are similar games. Let me know if you can find good quality wav files. I only heard the sound on one YouTube clip. I have access to an original 280ZZAP cabinet, as a direct friend of mine owns it. I am unsure of the condition, but I know it's complet...

Re: Super Cassette Vision efforts?

I was amazed at that too. I did forget to mention that also linked off of that specific page, there are supplemental pages describing the CPU and graphics chip.

Super Cassette Vision efforts?

Just wondering if anybody has given consideration to implementing the EPOCH Super Cassette Vision console. I do know that PC emulators exist, and I found a decent write-up of the console's architecture, including the memory map, as well as schematics at the following site: Japanese: http://www43.tok...

Re: Arcade cores

Alan, did you by chance do the mw8080bw MiSTer port? I'd like to see the "Lupin III" game represented, but I hadn't checked to see the current status of that. I have the original Lupin III PCB, which is a rare bird in deed. It too is in need of repair currently.

Just thought I'd ask.

Re: Popeye arcade core questions

Hi, the last Popeye/Sky_skipper core is able to both 15kHz and 31kHz with correct sprite display. For 15kHz you need to set composite_sync to 1 in MiSTer.ini. and to set scandoubler to off in the menu. The signal is then interlace. For 31kHz you need to set composite_sync to 0 in MiSTer.ini. and to...

Popeye arcade core questions

I remember using one of the releases of Dar's Popeye that had a toggle in the MiSTer menu for interlaced mode. Does that still exist somewhere in this version? I was expecting my HDMI connection to show weird sprites -- but it appears that perhaps the game now runs in progressive-only mode? Or is it...

Re: I might have killed my Mister by updating? Has anybody seen this problem before?

Just wanted to state that I had issues too, until I changed: PARALLEL_UPDATE="false" in the UPDATE.INI file. For me, I think the issue is that I have a pretty slow internet connection (~6Mbit/sec, usually less with other people in the house streaming stuff). So the curl commands were timing out on s...

Re: Using real MT-32 with ao486 core

If you see "Buffer Overflow" on your MT-32 LCD when the game initially loads then you should try "DELAYSYSEX=TRUE" in the MidiLink.INI which should resolve it. Definitely got the overflow after switching DELAYSYSEX = FALSE in the MidiLink.ini file. So I guess that puts that question to rest. Defini...

Re: Using real MT-32 with ao486 core

Try the DOS game GODs by the Bitmap Brothers. If you see "Buffer Overflow" on your MT-32 LCD when the game initially loads then you should try "DELAYSYSEX=TRUE" in the MidiLink.INI which should resolve it. Funny thing! I went to look at the MidiLink.ini file (for the first time), and it appears tha...

Re: Using real MT-32 with ao486 core

Well, I'm happy to report that my issues seem to have been self-inflicted and possibly resolved now. I had been relying primarily on using the SETMUSE.EXE included with Sam N Max CD version to verify that my settings were working, which as I indicated before, always resulted in silence with no MIDI ...

Using real MT-32 with ao486 core

Warning: Giant wall of text. I apologize in advance. I've read all the midi posts here, the slightly outdated midilink wiki, and done a lot of googling about using midi under dos in general. I've been successful using the MT-32 with the Minimig and the FX Cast cores -- but I just can't make it sing...
