Re: Atari ST core

I did extract the file and renamed Atari3gb16.hd to Atari3gb16.vhd. I had to rename it to .vhd for the config to see the file so I can choose it. I am using WINSCP to xfer the file to my Mister. I xfer'ed 2 versions of Karateka using the WINSCP and they played fine. When I boot the AtariSt core to ...

Re: Atari ST core

thanks for the information. where do the tos.img and AtariST.rbf come in so that it starts at MiSTer? Which folder? that's my problem. Thank you. You can put the tos.img in the AtariST folder along with your games and vhd files. I believe your problem is that you have not chosen the tos.img to load...

Anyone able to get Karateka to work on the Atari ST core? I have updated miSTer to the latest version along with the Atari St core. I tried changinf RAM from 1MB-8MB and change model from ST to STE but I'm unable to get this game to load as I just get a black screen. I have tried both these ROMS. Ka...

It's ok to use samples for now. May be some day some one will re-work the sound part.
Done. Zaxxon is now on MiSTer-devel.
Thanks for the new core. I had a blast trying Zaxxon out.

I just tried the new core and everything appears to load fine now in NTSC mode. I had thought that I messed up the JoffyDOS ROM that I created using instructions from another thread. I got black screen on everything I tried to load including .PRG which should just load from the main menu. Thanks ver...

Re: Mister Safeshutdown possible?

There is no need for a safe shutdown, Sorgelig explained this elsewhere: It's not like raspberry pi. MiSTer normally loads with system mounted as read-only. Some computer cores open their hard file in read-write - this is the only file opened in write mode. Usually if this computer core doesn't wri...

Yes those parts are hard to come by nowdays due the popularity of the Mister FPGA. I had to wait 2-3 months to get my SDRAM board and it was worth the wait.

I just tried to use a 256gig SD card. It does not boot on the Mister. I used the SD manager and it completed the format and installation successfully? No errors. But when I try to boot. I just get very dimly lit leds on the board. My original 8gig is fine. No issue... I have tried a brand new 128gb...

I’ve just replaced my combo io board for a v6.0 version because I also updated to 128MB SDRAM. I’m not totally sure about it but it seems that my Noctua fan is running quieter than before. This is the current utilization: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wHetlC0RqFnBcqzGEZI8SWi6tlHFxl_ehpaokDwg7CU/edit#gid=0 You can draw your own conclusions from that. A portion of the utilization will be for framework-related items. The wild card is how efficiently-programmed they are, and wh...
