Probably a bit on the obscure side. Ah well, not the end of the word. The core is awesome anyway.

Re: Atari ST core

STX is a format that includes the copy protection, this means it will most likely only work when the simulation is cycly exact. The other ST core has the aim to support STX games, but as far as I know it is not implemented yet. Just curious, which game is it? Head Coach, an NFL sim from The Midnigh...

Re: Atari ST core

Sorry if I missed this but are there any plans to support. STX as well as .ST disc formats. I have one obscure game I used to play as a kid and can only find .STX files of it. I actually found it on eBay a few years back and picked it up but playing it means getting the ST out and setting it up and ...

Re: Arcade cores

No, there are two of us. :D I play Robotron a LOT. One of my old favorites. I may actually build a second MiSTer, so that I can just leave the X-Arcade dual stick mapped for longer periods, and use my original MiSTer for consoles and computers. Can't play twin stick games without twin sticks. Any m...

Re: NeoGeo romsets.xml Style File for The Arcade and Computer Folders?

RBF names are not bound to core ID. You can freely re-name them to whatever name you want - it will still work correctly. Some companies are known to be angry when some one used their names. This is another reason why cores named that way. I just rename mine (INTV>Intellivision) etc as Sorg says. A...

Re: DIY MD/SMS/Atari/C= to USB adapter

You can test paddles in AY-3-8500 pong core. Set the control to "Inv-X" mode. I plan to add paddle emulation for spinner to mr.Spinner adapter. So spinner is going to be more versatile controller than generic paddle. Ah thanks Sorg, great stuff. Hmm. The AY-3-8500 def recognises the paddles but the...

Re: DIY MD/SMS/Atari/C= to USB adapter

Hey gents. I've modded a pair of Atari paddles I had lying around by connecting the empty pin to GND. When I connect them to test with Arkanoid, the fire buttons work fine but the paddles don nothing. If I switch it to mouse control from spinner the bat shoots to the right and stays there. If i have...

Re: Arcade cores

Still no joy for me with the updated Robotron core. Tried with and without 128mb SDRAM. Will try with and without USB 2.1 later. Are you on a CRT - mine is the same. Having the same issue with Journey since the recent updates. They both used to work. I'm not connected via HDMI to my flatscreen at t...

Did you get to start a game though? After the coin toss and the field is drawn it crashes out.

I got it working last night with a 464 boot rom. Works fine with that!

Re: Amstrad CPC Core

So, had a 464 and 664 as a kid and now have a 464 and a 6128 irl. There was a game I used to play as a kid - American Football by Argus Press that would only work on the 464. It's the same in emulation (obv), it crashes back to the OS on loading if you load either a CDT or dsk version of the game. I...

Re: Running scripts on CRT without framebuffer or VGA scaling on?

Tis the same for me. If you connect to HDMI at the same time you can see it running. If you mess about with the FB setting it will run the script in a box on the CRT but you can't read much of it. I ended up just running scripts with the big screen on. Would be nice to see them properly on the CRT t...

This is working with my 128MB board now. Thank you. But, I can still hear strange background high frequency noise through HDMI on Wings of death intro, same for Satan. (This is there since the begining). If I remind well, that was working without that strange background noise through analo...

Besides the issue with the newer DRAM boards (please check version 015 that I just posted), you have to load an ST disk image.

Re: Newbie questions

One of my keyboards doesn't work in mine. Swapped out and it was fine. I think a few people have had issues with certain Logitech. I'm using a stupidly expensive Corsair one atm and it works fine but my smaller media centre type keyboard was having none of it.

SDRAM issue maybe? I only have 32 in mine....
