Re: Robotron 2084 Settings

Hello, In Robotron we have the option of going into the Dip Switch settings and turning Advance on and off and it takes us through the normal options as if you open up a Robotron and hit Advance, thing is, once we get to the area where you can actually make changes to the game, the screen where you...

Re: Arcade cores

New Core: Super Bagman Arcade can found here: https://github.com/cavemanxzx/MiSTer-Arcade-SuperBagman It is my understanding that the original goal of introducing mra files was to avoid the step of building roms which was a problem for some users. Although this new core uses a zip file this zip fil...

Re: Boot using last opened .MRA file or a specific one

Most of it is in bootcore.cpp, but there is a bit in menu.cpp that implements the countdown/delay and loads the RBF when that is done. Off the top of my head: You'll need to modify it to also store if the last booted core is an MRA or an RBF, since they are loaded differently. Somewhere in bootcore....

Re: Arcade cores

If it is agreed this approach is a good idea I'm happy to generate the PR. i've looked to your code and it looks good. Idea is also good, so i agree with this. I see mame has crc32, so can grab it directly from there. nice :) i will leave for now the name and i will add crc32... at least for a whil...

Re: Arcade cores

Storing the CRC of individual <part> elements (the ones that reference a rom file in a zip) and looking up zip entries by CRC instead of file name seems like it would be the easiest way to detect individual rom mismatches and report them as an error. The tradeoff there is that if there's ever a new...

Re: Arcade cores

That sounds more like the zip file can’t be found.
If your mra files are in _Arcade the zip files should be in _Arcade/mame

Re: Arcade cores

Of course they have the same bugs, it used all the MRA files in existing mister repos as the base to create clone/hack MRA files based on mame info. The repo is just a live snapshot of my _Arcade directory; I (perhaps wrongly?) assumed the official repos didn't want pull requests for hundreds of tra...

Re: Arcade cores

You can add something like '_20191226' to the filename yourself. It shouldn't really be picking up the date (aka version) from the MRA. The version is linked to the RBF you've installed, so should be picked up from there. Would be much nicer if it could be extracted from the rbf itself, rather than...

Re: Arcade cores

A little holiday project: https://github.com/zakk4223/Mister-MRA Repo contains: MRA files for all arcade cores, including all clones as per mame 0.216 Also included: various hacks from HBMame 0.217. Hacks are a work in progress; not all have been tested so many may be broken and need tweaking. Non-h...

Re: Arcade cores

After some late night/early morning issue filing that turned out to be dumb (sorry alanswx !) I have a suggestion: In the MRA files, also support split romsets. Looks like it would work as another <rom ... type="split"> entry? I'm not sure how many cores it really matters for, but for the ones that ...

Re: NeoGeo topic

In the game NAM 1975, I get a blank screen when it runs through the control tutorials. Once the tutorial is over video comes back.

Can anyone else test this game to see if they get the same behavior? Put a credit in and hit start, tutorial should start then.

Re: Arcade cores

I put the osd dip support in most of the cores. Let me know if it is broken. Unfortunately we haven’t built new versions yet. I left out the coins and some other things that didn’t seem important. Sometimes the dips don’t work if you load a different rom. Most original vertical arcades had FLIP dip...
