Re: No TOSEC stuff

This is what you need the Hangloose Archive which contains TOSEC stuff

https://archive.org/download/AtariSTarchive.7z

Best to use the torrent in that directory not the direct download, its big - 135Gb

Re: Megafile 60 problems

yes HDDRUTIL.PRG Where are you seeing “Restore Boot Sector”? that isn't in HDDRIVER as far as i can see. Restore Root Sector is the option, if the option isn't greyed out this means your Atari can see the drive, can you post a pic of what you can see that would help. You have the data on D: you just...

Re: Megafile 60 problems

Try this :

https://www.hddriver.net/en/demo.html

Run HDDRIVER.prg
then HHDUTIL.prg

post a pic here what you see.

Click on device window (should be middle one)

Select your device

And try the Restore Root Sector option.

I presume this is also MintNet only?

If so does anyone know of a TOS/Sting prg that can sync the Atari time with a NTP server?

Re: 520ST wont run games

You really need to get ST low res to play games, ST low res gives weird frequency so you'll be lucky to find a modern cheap panel that can display it (unless you have a really good multisync display). You could try getting one of these : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLvMoePH58E&t=1147s Which will...

Re: Megafile 60 problems

So that's good that your HD isn't dead and can be seen. You could try booting with the ICD floppy then running HDUTIL.PRG then select boot to see if it can write a bootsector to the HD so it can boot itself. Again if this doesn't work first attempt then leave the HD on and spinning for an hour say a...

Re: Megafile 60 problems

So your Atari can see the host board fine just problem with actual spinner. Try the following : 1. After booting with floppy and ICD drivers loaded on boot find and run ICDFMT.PRG (you won't be formatting it just seeing if it gives any errors) 2. Select the Adaptec controller then continue 3.Then pr...

Re: Netusbee, Sting, Cab, Setup Help

The only entry in my ROUTE.TAB file, works fine with Netusbee was the only thing that was a nightmare. 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 EtherNet 192.168.2.1 very important to have tabs between each entry, no tabs and spaces, just tabs, I used everest text editer to do this. 0.0.0.0 followed by tab then another 0.0.0...

Re: Megafile 60 problems

ICDP655A.ZIP extract onto floppy as described above. Make sure the the extracted AUTO folder is on the root of the floppy disk i.e. not within a directory. The disk will auto boot with the ICD Utils, follow procedure I posted above. This will not damage any data, you want to see if the Atari can see...

Re: Megafile 60 problems

Before I got my ethernet sorted on my Atari's I used the last PC I had that still had a floppy drive attached but it was all very finicky, the most reliable route was to format the disk (make sure it a double density DD not High density disk HD) in windows with default options, copy whatever data/pr...

Powered it up all is is great and working fine, fast forward and hour or two and then apps start crashing and random freezes and bombs when starting programs. Nooo, i thoug...

I presume you've done the standard replace caps and new/refurbed the psu?

all my 'weird' falcon issues dissapeared when i booted it for the first time in 20 years by replacing the psu with a rock solid atx supply from a PC.

Tried it also on my Mega 4 running in TOS 1.04, in high res booting off megafile 30 with HDDRIVER and only sting in auto folder. Still constantly asks for language, ran it off floppy too. Seems to write covid.inf when I close the language selection window then exits. So it runs in Mint(gluStik), ARA...

Won't load with wrong CPU architecture error.
