Re: Work on the Minimig core?

@Olekk77, Great stuff!
Just a dumb question, would these changes be applicable to Minimig core on MiSTer? I'm not seeing paula_audio_sigmadelta.v there.

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

I thought that's what Whdload was for. ;-) Fixing the stupid bugs.
At least for me, one of the reasons for getting de10-nano was the built-in ability to switch between PAL and NTSC to have the best of both worlds.

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Sorry no I mean the signal sent to the floppy disk to increment the head. All of the signals I've found are 30-100us and a step pulse needs to be 1ms minimum. I'm probably missing something but I wondernif it's fudged as no one ever expected a floppy drive to be connected. I should add I'm not inte...

Do you mean something derived from 50/60Hz on the mains? Nope, the PSU feeds only DC to the A500.

I assume yes. The other change is by retrofun. So the credit goes to both of you. I've just built it :)
It was Tobiflex who fixed the addressing issue; I only ran a Toni Wilen's cputest and found some issues. :)

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

slingshot has updated the dev branch of the core Minimig and now you can run ShapeShifter and Fusion (Macintosh II emulation in colour) perfectly, even with Mac images assigned as HD. As shapeshifter recognizes a Macintosh II ci With Fusion you can afford a Macintosh II ( 68020 ) equally Thank you ...

... This demo (or better the demo maker, "Demomaniac version 2.19") uses the AGA read color table feature, BPLCON2 RDRAM, that isn't implemented in Minimig AGA yet. I've tried to implement read color table and some small tests compared against WinUAE seem to be fine. Commit (for MiST): https://gith...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

There seems to be lots of artifacts in some games like Risky Woods, SWIV, and Jim Power, I think we might be due to a lost the cpu_custom in cachecfg in this commit: https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Minimig-AGA_MiSTer/commit/87e4847549e327e0e8b9020ea47d1d0d7f3923f1 since it originally was added in th...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Same for minimig core on MiST, ADF & WHDLoad. This is a combination of a bug in the game and a different behavior of the custom chip registers of the minimig core compared to a real AMiGA. The game hangs in an endless loop at $55034-$5503a: $5502e lea $dff000,a0 $55034 btst #5,$9c,(a0) $5503a beq.b...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

I was poking around some stuff in Quartus the other day and stepped across this piece of documentation from Intel. I guess it should be relatively easy to add the signals to the core, and perhaps some autoconfig (make it look like a network card) with some allocated memory range, and then it would r...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

There seems to be another graphical glitch (I didn't have the time to dig deeper, but I think that could be blitter's fault) that manifests itself in Brian the Lion game. I've posted an issue on github with some screenshots.

I guess some of it got merged i to TG68K.C, but it has not been pulled into the MiSTer core. Regarding original Minimig, have there been any improvem...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Would it be a ton of work to add Action Replay MK3 functionality instead of HRTmon? I am really missing that tool i got in hardware here. Quicksaving to RAM in games would open a kind-of-savestate functionality for hard games. Even saving memory to disk does not work properly here with hrtmon and o...

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

This is turning into some messed up ideological dispute. IMHO the FPGA is about the flexibility and choices we've never had.
How about adding profiles that replicate the known hardware configs, and not limiting the options for people that want options?

DigiPaint, DPaint AGA, Photon Paint, and any other program that relies on the fact that an Amiga screen will never be larger than 2MB in size. I like the look of Blank+ on 4:3, but it is mighty annoying when watching some demos, when the tiny logo suddenly jumps left or right some pixels because the display mode was changed.

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Budbrain megademo still crashes on the TG68K.C (as reported in mist-devel github) , though it runs fine on fx68k. It's good that TG68K now is in active development stage!
Pretty much, since Tobilex is working on it, and Mist, and FPGArcade folks seem to have agreed to follow that path.
