I built IO Board v5.6, is there anyway to add some type of power button on this one?

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards

Hello, I am looking to buy an SDRAM board for my setup. I would also be interested in a case and any other suggested items used for game consoles. Since I am new, you'll have to PM me. Let me know what you have and how much you would like. I am located in Bellevue, Washington. Thanks a bunch. pm'd

Re: Newbie questions

Turbografx16 core defaults to "games" folder, how can I change the path? I deleted the TGFX config file and deleted the games folder but something still telling it to go to "games" folder, thank you in advance. delete TGFX16 folder from games and manually create TGFX16 folder in the root. Worked! T...

Re: Jamma Board

If you have an FPGA with enough pins to directly connect inputs + outputs, I don't understand why you would do anything else. Zero additional latency or jitter on the inputs. Same R2R DAC on the video output. The logic changes needed in the FPGA were tiny, it really is just wiring. The only extra a...

Re: Jamma Board

Not to take away from your idea but the JPAC works fine connected to MiSTer in arcade cab and you can connect to Groovymame or any other VGA output too. I was under the impression that the JPAC didn't handle both players well? Or does it? Works fine :) you can wire in p1 & p2 buttons 5 & 6, standar...

Does the script update the CPS1 stuff? I have the core but they don't seem to work.

Re: SDRAM board

If you are worried unevenly trimmed header pins or too much solder will affect the max frequency a SDRAM module will test at, take a look at the this experiment. Apparently PCBWay botched one of the inner layer header vias on this batch, causing no-connections between the header pins and IC pads. D...

There is a region-free BIOS set available as well, these will play all games with a single BIOS.
Excellent advice! =)

What makes you think that he just walked away from it ? That report was from just a few months ago. You're right, I don't know. I should've been more thoughtful in my response but knowing it never got ported to MiSTer and he documented there are still sound issues made me think he gave up hope....I...

If someone could hammer out a CAVE 68000 core, that would be great, mmkay? :) Never heard of it so looked it up. Which games are you most interested in on that system? I did find this about a FPGA project for it: https://gitlab.com/rwk-source/cave_1st_gen/raw/edf3f620b718d10279065c4ae5bb9000c719a00...

Is a Sega Saturn core ever going to happen? Given the Sega Saturn is a complex multi-core system that would require a tone of work unless people work on it or people fund development I don't foresee it happening. I know there is some PlayStation work and a Jaguar core that is around the corner so t...

Re: SDRAM board

The silkscreen on the jlcpcb boards is poor quality.. I think this is correct and supports my own findings. Ive found that on jlpcb boards if you solder at 310 and don't drag solder you will get 100% success rate and even the 7ctn chips will test at 150mhz ( which they shouldn't i know). However, i...
