Re: MegaCD (SegaCD) Core
Regarding saves. RAM cart is not supported, I know. But what about built-in memory? I'm able to save and load in games. I also can see the saves in the memory manager. As soon as I reboot, saves are gone. Doesn't appear that it does since my Sonic CD game didn't safe when I reached Zone 2. But hey,...

Re: MegaCD (SegaCD) Core
Well that sure solved my issue. So the question remains, why were some people are to run it without the new main core? Was it caused by having more than 32MB of SD RAM?sys40 wrote:Ladies and gentlemen, please update your Misters with the last update !

Re: I get a static image of the SEGACD bios, unable to load any game
I have the same problem. I think the cd images may be corrupted. I copied the cd images directly to the SD card. I got audio noise one time after loading the bios and opening the cue for a image. Well none of my games work and I've dumped them all myself. I also know that they'll load using a SEGA ...

Re: I get a static image of the SEGACD bios, unable to load any game
I am using a 1993 Sega Ver 2.00 US version bios, no animation either if no cue loaded. But when I select the folder with the cue file in it, it automatically boots to the Sega CD bios and asks me to press start. Maybe see if you have the enabled the reset on loading cue option or after loading the ...

Re: I get a static image of the SEGACD bios, unable to load any game
Since you are using the us bios, make sure the region is set to US on the core as well and the cue file you are trying to run is US as well. I already tried many BIOS files, doesn't matter. When you look at videos on YouTube, you can see that just loading a BIOS files should give you an animated on...

I get a static image of the SEGACD bios, unable to load any game
I renamed the USA SEGA CD 2 bios to boot.rom, put it in the MegaCD folder as well as all of my bin and cue files, but when I load the core, I get a non-moving image of the SEGA CD 2 bios and loading a cue file doesn't do anything.

Re: Nintendo 64 and other later Gen Cores
Indeed. 5th gen things fall in the realm of maybe-technically-possible-but-improbable. The amount of work required becomes greater and greater to complete cores in that generation. The GBA core was the simplest of these entries, and is still quite an accomplishment. PSX is probably the next simples...

Re: Sega CD core coming soon?!? Fantastic!
Pezz82 has a new video informing of an upcoming Sega CD core for MiSTer! Also on Reddit with a video showcasing SonicCD: https://www.reddit.com/r/SBCGaming/comments/dzt4dw/sega_cdmega_cd_fpga_core_coming_to_mister/ This is EXTREMELY exciting news! There are few sound glitches in Thrash Rally. In the countdown sequence "2, 1, START" of World Championship mode, the beep for "1" is missing. Also during gameplay, a certain tone/sequence is (loudly) distorted. EDIT: The (loudly) distorted sound effect in music is audible twice at the beginning of...

Re: NeoGeo topic
There seems to be SFX and Voice drops in many games. In KoF2000, the cursor section noise drops 1 out of 3 times. I tried with both HDMI sound and Analog output from the IO board, same thing. I also tried with both the Stereo mix option at 50% and None, no difference.
I'm using NeoGeo_20191014 BTW.

Re: NeoGeo topic
Why does the NEOGEO ROM folder need to be at the root of my SD card compared to every other system which can have their folders inside my ROM directory? Also, is there a way for the Unibios to remember the system and region instead of setting them every time?

So are you basically saying that we should reinstall from scratch every time a new Main MiSTer core is released? Is this core coded with Windows 10 or something?Sorgelig wrote:Download latest Linux release and update all included files.

I broke the main MiSTer
So I transferred the new main (20190609) via FileZilla, but now I get a black screen when booting. I can still access the cores via FileZilla, but I can't control from the MiSTer hardware itself. I tried sending the file from both ASCII and Binary mode in FileZilla, but no differences. What can I do...

Re: custom USB controller adapters
Fair enough, i's a bit hard to see on the video when you press the button exactly. What some people have done is wire a LED to the button so it lights up when pressed... that gives a very clear indication of lag by slow motion. In fact in a crazy world of infinite developer time, it would theoretic...
