Re: Atari ST core

I am not sure if this is a bug but I noticed that MegaSTE does not work if cache is enabled. 16MHz mode works without cache, but with cache I get massive graphics corruption. I will test more with different (and without any extensions loaded). EDIT. After updating Atari ST to latest version released...

Does not work for me. Neither Backspace nor a another key has a effect on the HDD Entry. As mentioned before the FDD can be deleted by clicking DEL + Return but not the HDD Just to confirm, you are pressing backspace on screen where you select the hard disk file? You cannot remove harddisk entry di...

Re: Atari ST core

At this time my main problem concerns the Viking option: whatever settings I use the option is always grayed out in the OSD. I must be doing something wrong but I have no idea what it is. The only thing I could think of is that I have 32M of SDRAM. You need to configure Atari to have 8MB or less of...

Another Issue: US Tos - Mister in 60 Hz PAL Tos - Mister still in 60 Hz but should be 50 Hz For me, screen refresh rate is changing beautifully depending of the TOS. I tested with both CRT VGA monitor and LCD panel. However, I am using VGA output. Are you using HDMI or VGA? Do this need vsync_adjus...

Re: Atari ST core

Thank you for this core. Seems to work quite well, I too have that memory problem (whenever I change it to some value and save, next time I load the config, memory amount is something else, usually just 512K). Not sure if it is intended behaviour, but if I set up machine with US TOS, screen refresh ...

Re: Best ways to transfer files to SD card in MiSTer?

Do you have possibility to connect your MiSTer to network (lan cable)? Then you could enable either sftp or samba/cifs service on it, and copy files via network.

Re: Video drivers for 486 core

I think it only has standard VGA adapter, so 640x480 resolution with 16 colors is best one can get.

Or 320x200 with 256 colors. To get 256 colors on any resolution over that requires SuperVGA.

Re: How to properly update the MiSTer core?

When you did your original MiSTer install? There has been quite a few changes lately. Some changes require that you update all components together with the update: 1. Linux system 2. Main Mister core 3. Menu core (and all Computer/Console cores you need) You should update all three at the same time....

I have the minimig core rbf in the root and the kickstarter1.2 renamed to kick.rom. I can select everything in the odd but when I select the game nothing happens. I don't have the os loaded. What am I missing? Please list the files and equipment needed for the minimig amiga core. Also what is the r...

Re: Mister not Booting up

Do you have any addon boards (sdram, I/O board)? If yes, try to remove them. Also, you could try menu core if you haven't already. Next thing would be is to define MiSTer.ini settings for screen resolution and refresh rate. And finally maybe you have something amiss on computer you use for configuri...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

I'm having the same issue, can't boot with fastram > 8m. (68020,wb3.1) Before I think it was set to 24m, but I guess that that options gone now? I haven't used this core in months. Do you use latest "official" core version which is provided by update script? Because I had similar issue with that ve...

why need to ask the question which is answered already in text you've quoted? Oh sorry, I just meant that is there any difference one would notice when using the adapter versus I/O board? I of course would like to have best picture quality available, but I am not sure if the difference is something...

Re: DVI mode problems with main MiSTer 20190922 release?

\root means root folder on your SD card?

I am using mainly my Mister with hdmi-dvi cable with my old Viewsonic display with dvi. Works fine, using newest updates. Although my Viewsonic is 1680x1050 resolution, so I needed to create own video mode for it.

Re: Original analog video without I/O board? Possible!

This video is even better because you get 8bits per color while I/O board gives only 6bits per color. Audio output is also better than one used on I/O board. OK, I have a question. Is there any practical difference on picture or audio quality on this or I/O board vga/audio out? I have an I/O board,...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Minimig.zip try this version. Btw, turbo chipram negatively affects WHDLoad. For example Alladin AGA doesn't start if chipram is turbo. Probably CPU is too fast for that game. With 20190922 core, I had some graphics corruption in some games (Shadow of the Beast for example). With this core, graphic...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Any idea? Minimig on MiSTer has IDE timing problems, also in versions before September. Might be worse now, because of the faster memory access. I'll have a closer look at it, as soon as it gets colder outside (in central europe). Right, that explains the behauviour. I saw changelog for Minimig cor...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

I am having some instability issues with latest Minimig core. Disk operations will randomly crash my Amiga 3.1.4 setup. At least it looks like it is on disk operations, but crashes are quite random. For example, extracting 120 lha archives via dopus will quite "reliably" crash at some point. Or runn...
