Re: mister fpga in arcade cabinet
I am just thinking about the usb encoders used to wire the controls and buttons... I get they are usb, so it should work on the usb of the mister with no problems I would think. I am thinking of trying a project like this, and was wondering if anyone else had done it? In Facebook there are some exa...

Re: Scripting news
When b) it may happen that on a first update Birdy repo is processed before Pacman one, so Birdy.mra is not there when the repo is processed. Just run again the updater and Birdy.rbf will go under _Arcade/cores. Thanks for clarification. What would happen to the .rbf in _Arcade when running script ...

be sure to set CORE_CATEGORY_PATHS["arcade-cores"]="$BASE_PATH/_Arcade" in .ini for me updater script works "half": it updated mra-files in _Arcade and also some rbf-files in _Arcade/cores (Pacman_20200106.rbf DigDug_20200106.rbf) but some rbfs are redownloaded to _Arcade (1943_20190509.rbf DevilFis...

Re: MiSTer frontend future
From a technical side, what could a Frontend substitute? Would it only be the core-selection/menu.rbf or would it also be possible to call the frontend within another core (Computer,...) to replace cart/disk/tape-selection? I personally stick with 2-3 systems when playing around with MiSTer so most ...

I feel this starts to turn from "we welcome you" to "you must work as we say". Totally agree. One can show/debate the benefits of working together in a true community but one also has to accept different decisions. I also would love to see Jotego's core in the main mister repo, following standard n...

Re: Mister colors are off
Just had a similar problem when trying MiSTer with my beamer the first time and found my AV receiver guilty for changing red/blue. The receiver has an option "digital video converter" which converts every input to HDMI out. For whatever reason this was interfering with MiSTer HDMI output. Turning th...

Re: MiSTer on DE10-Standard - needed?
Just my personal opinion, if someone other than Sorgelig would like to port MiSTer to DE10-Standard it would be great to broaden MiSTer platforms. Else I would tend to focus development resources on the most common platform (nano).

Re: Support for more than 2 controllers (Amiga, C64, NES, SNES)
Thanks for testing, Flausch. Retried today and now Bug Bomber works for me, too.
Maybe it has something to do with removing/reinserting usb joystick adapter while MiSTer is on. As long as all usb adapters are attached when powering on it's working great every time. Thanks again.

Hi, is there a way to map german keyboard layout to MiSTer and the other cores? In extend I am using a multimedia keyboard where F1-F12 keys have to be accessed by pressing FN+F-key.
