Re: ao486: what do you use to transfer files?
Anyone still using vmount to mount VHDs as rootfs for fie transfer? I tried it with the latest build and now only get errors: /media/fat/games/ao486# ./vmount /media/fat/games/ao486/DATA.VHD partition: none, disk: /media/fat/games/ao486/DATA.VHD, lower: 0, upper: 0 Trying to use '/dev/loop10' for t...

Re: NeoGeo topic
I think there are 1 or 2 fixes for games but other than that I don't believe there is anything really compelling. At least not in the context of MiSTer.

I’ve heard the person who sells 4.0 is taking a hiatus for a while. I have not heard when they plan if at all to start up again.

Re: GBA Core call for bugs, Testers wanted
What causes the weird flickering in Phantasy Star I (part of Phantasy Star Collection) on the GBA? I thought maybe turning on Flickerblend in the core would fix it, but it doesn't. Is it using some kind of other style of flicker blending? Phantasy Star Collection_herky.png I've tried turning Flicker...

Re: Joystick testing thread
I think they are all mostly the same. I happened to have the NES one because I was using it with an NES at the time. You can plug in a USB cable and use it as a dongle. Which is how I use it. But I do think any of them will work.

I experienced that or worse. Switching to the 8bitdo dongle seemed to make my issues go away.

Re: Joystick testing thread
MiSTer doesn't have built in BT so you have to at least buy a USB BT dongle of some kind. In my specific case I have had all kinds of trouble with my BT dongle and the 8bitdo controllers. So I did end up buying an 8bitdo dongle and use that. It seems to work well.

Re: Gameboy core
What would cause the Gameboy core to not provide audio over HDMI? Right now all my cores are providing audio over HDMI except the Gameboy core. If I plug headphones into the line out on the IO board it does provide audio just fine. For some reason it does not want to provide audio over HDMI. Now if ...

Re: MiSTer updater script
To me it sounds like Sorg is just asking for a little standardization within the core project. I think that is a reasonable ask.
It is fairly common within Free/OSS projects to have some level of standardization for 3rd party stuff, I don't see this as any different.

I think having the trimming on is closer to what you would have seen as a kid. I think old TVs cut off the edges of the image so the trimming is approximating that.

Re: [REQUEST] SD-Installer Option to Download Latest Cores
Would it be possible to have some kind of SD card image that could be fed into something like Etcher? I’m thinking something that has the bare essentials and the updater script. It wouldn’t need to constantly be kept up to date because the updater script would handle that. I honestly can’t think of ...

Component output slightly jumpy
I have a MiSTer hooked up to a Sharp Aquos LC-20S1US(old SD 480p LCD TV) via VGA to component adapter(SOG switched on). The picture _mostly_ looks great, but every second or two the picture will very slightly jump either vertically or horizontally. I've tried a lot of combinations of configs to try ...

I just thought I would share this on the off chance it would help someone else. I’ve got a self assembled board and was having an issue where the VGA output had a green tinge to it. I went over the board with my 10x and checked and rechecked all my solder joints. Turns out I had the Sync on Green sw...
