Re: New game: l'Abbaye des Morts for the Falcon
Sure will do. Thanks. Hi Richard, where did you buy your FPU from? I had a similar experience with my Falcon. I bought mine off eBay a few years ago and I remember Bad mood (doom game) kept crashing on me. Dml gave me an FPU test program and it was calculating stuff incorrectly, so it was a fake FP...

Re: New game: l'Abbaye des Morts for the Falcon
If your Falcon is otherwise working normally it is almost 100% certain that the game files are corrupted somehow. Would it be possible for you to send me the files (abbaye.prg and game) that's on your Falcon? Sure will do. Thanks. Hi Richard, where did you buy your FPU from? I had a similar experie...

Re: New game: l'Abbaye des Morts for the Falcon
Hi, have tried running from floppy and on the internal CF hard disk. Running it from plain TOS. Only modifications are the 16MB RAM board and what looks like a clock buffer mod.

Re: New game: l'Abbaye des Morts for the Falcon
Tried the download again and tried running it with a minimal boot. This time after the loading appears I do see maybe 8 bombs as it returns to the desktop.

Re: New game: l'Abbaye des Morts for the Falcon
Right, tied that version of Gembench and I got some different results:
Int Div: 3.110 (100%)
Float Math: 0.415 (100%)
RAM: 3.130 (102%)
ROM: 2.460 (91%)
That with reference as Falcon, with FPU checked.
So that does look like the FPU is working?

Re: New game: l'Abbaye des Morts for the Falcon
I ran GB and got the following from the CPU tests:
Int Div: 5.675 (100%)
Float Math: 7.330 (100%)
RAM Access: 29.240 (64%)
ROM Access: 47.905 (99%)
and in the system it states: LineF FPU inst.
So I assume that means its working?

Re: New game: l'Abbaye des Morts for the Falcon
Finally got round to trying this, and then realised I had not fitted an FPU in my Falcon. So popped an FPU in, and now when I start it all I get is the 'loading' screen for a few seconds then it drops back to the desktop. Any suggestions?
Cheers,
Richard.

Re: SF314 Power Supply
ok, have found on a certain auction site an Atari 800 usb power cable with what looks like the right Din5 plug on it. I read somewhere that the atari 800 power supply should work on this floppy so have ordered one. When it arrives I'll let you all know if it works.

Re: SF314 Power Supply
Finally got round to checking the voltages. So not a thing from the power supply.
Anyone know where to get a replacement? (not at silly e-bay prices) or is there some alternative power supply I could use?
Many thanks.

SF314 Power Supply
So I was trying to get my old SF314 floppy working, and not a flicker of life.
I am going to assume its the power supply, I checked both fuses and they look fine. Is the power supply easy to repair? I can someone suggest an alternative power supply I can use?
Thanks.

Make sure any socketed chips are seated correctly, TOS roms etc. It's bound to be something straight forward.

If I click on install devices on the desktop it adds a new drive for the usb stick, but I then cannot open that drive.

netusbee usb stick image
I have tried setting up the netusbee on my falcon, and the drivers appear to work fine and detect whatever usb stick I have plugged in. However no matter what I try I cannot get any of my hard drive tools to properly detect and partition the stick. Have tried on the atari side, and event formatted i...

Display Issues
So I have recently been sorting out one of my Falcons, changed to broken hard disk for a CF adapter and card. Fitted a new 16Meg ram upgrade (only had four in it previously). Its been working fine with the VGA monitor I have connected to it, then just recently it started showing 3 large fuzzy distor...
