Re: Newbie questions
Ok with some help, i've solved this and just replying in case it helps someone else. This was due to a mame folder being present in the games subfolder, that was causing this issue. It must be parsing through a set directory structure, and stopping when it finds the mame folder in games, thus ignori...

Re: MiSTer NES Core
When running this core, I can see that it’s running too quickly. E.g. in double dragon 2 the title music is too quick, and the game plays way to fast. Is this linked to display vsync frequency? Sounds like you are running a PAL-game. Go into the OSD of the NES-core and change the System Type from N...

Re: Newbie questions
When running the update scripts, even though I have an _arcade folder, it keeps creating a arcade folder and sticking mra\cores in those directories? Its obviously something i'm doing wrong, but its a pain to move them around afterwards. Any ideas? If I run other updater scripts, the mra\rbf etc. fi...

Re: Original analog video without I/O board? Possible!
You're getting a rolling picture with composite_sync=0 because that's sending an RGBHV signal instead of RGBS which is what most professional monitors are designed to accept. You'll need a sync combiner. Some people get away with connecting the separate H and V lines on the in and out sync connecto...

Re: Original analog video without I/O board? Possible!
Thanks its certainly an odd one because some of those listed as 15khz work fine, the jotego ones do not, however I will keep on tinkering! The jotego cores work for me with composite_sync=0 , give it a try. Composite sync = 0 made the jotego cores picture better in that its the picture is 100% corr...

Re: Original analog video without I/O board? Possible!
Tried a bunch of other cores, all the mister-x seem fine except for broken alignment (don’t take the full horizontal width etc). I can’t try the others yet as I need to sort out the mra placement - something wacky is going on with there placement in _arcade/arcade. I did run the upgrade/mister upgra...

Re: Original analog video without I/O board? Possible!
I'm still having problems with the arcade cores running on my tv - its a 21 inch 4:3 sony Trinitron 21X5U which is supposed to be one of the best TV's for retro gaming since it uses the FE1 chassis. So the snes, and genesis cores run fine and are perfectly locked, as is the mister menu, however what...

Re: Original analog video without I/O board? Possible!
Does anyone know if the jotego cores support output via hdmi/vga? His cores don’t work on my trintron, the picture starts rolling. I’m also seeing some cores like the zx spectrum not work at all, but SNES and genesis are perfect except that on my sony there’s a black bar on the right and the image i...

Mister worked on my Sony Trinitron using hdmi\vga. Mist cable and a UGreen adapter brought this week:
direct_video=1
composite_sync=1
Some cores work, some don't

Re: USB Hub board
I did have one question however, what sizes are resistors R4 to R11? the schematic indicates that they should 510, can I assume that I've read it right and they are 510 ohm resistors? Yes that is correct, they are 510 Ohm resistors, package size is 0805. Perfect thank you. One last question, should...

Re: USB Hub board
I'm new to electronics so don't want to risk trying to deduce a parts list for the usb hub. Does anyone have a BOM list handy with links to the components? Okay so I've done some homework and spent an hour or so looking at the schematic, and have a list of most of the components that I need to orde...

Re: I/O Board
I've had a mister DE10 for ages, but its had no use as I've been waiting to build a io board, which in turn was waiting for me to sort my soldering skills out :shrug: Which I've finally got to the point where I can solder proficiently after a few hours and of practice. :D Anyhow, I was about to orde...

I have the same issue on my Sony, drives me potty. What rgb shifter do you use?SegaMan wrote:This problem is synonymous with the original consoles.
I use a RGB shifter to align the image horizontally.
That's the easiest way.

Amazing work, I'm a programmer by trade but never looked at emulation and hardware recreation in fpga so I'm a little jealous of your ability. Fair play mate and thanks for your hard work

Re: Newbie questions
Really dumb question so appologies :D I want to extend the pcb mouting brass risers underneath the nano so that i can move the perspex sheet from the top to the bottom of the DE10, and glue in a maker spot usb hub to the Perspex with hot glue. The current mountings are too short and thus anyone know...
Re: I/O Board
A quick question about the io board. Some suppliers sell io boards with onboard sdram. if you stuck in an sdram slim module as well, does this increase the ram to over 32mb, or, are you not allowed to use both together?
