Re: Joystick testing thread
Give this a crack: 1. dpkg --list | grep compiler This will show the compilers you have installed, check if you have g++. 2. If not, Install g++ sudo apt-get install g++ alternatively try the instruction here, it installs gcc, g++ and others: https://linuxize.com/post/how-to-install-gcc-compiler-on...

Re: Joystick testing thread
Hi Jeebs, As a rainy day (self quarantine) project, I got the Xin Mo adapter working with the latest released. With the same steps the Mayflash adapter would work as well. Long explanation if you want to try this, you need a linux computer with Git installed. 1. Using the directory of your choice, ...

Re: Joystick testing thread
After doing some further testing it looks like MiSTer_20200225 is the first binary that stopped the Mayflash SNES USB adapter from working properly for both Ports on the adapter and being able to use 1 and 2 player. That is the release with the new way of merging devices. The VID of your adapter ne...

Re: Joystick testing thread
did you test it on non-Arcade cores? Yes the testing I did was on SNES, Genesis, and NES. I can test any other Core if needed. I have to do some more testing but so far using MiSTer_20200109 works fine with this this adapter. I'll test versions past this and see what version made this adapter stop ...

Re: Joystick testing thread
I apologize of this has been talked about already but I'm curious if the Mayflash SNES to USB Adapter works for anyone else. I have the two player adapter and I can get Player 1 to work perfectly. But it doesn't defect the second port on the adapter as Player 2. So in a two player game with both Co...

Re: MiSTer NES Core
I know the unleased/prototype of SimCity just got leaked for the NES but is there any chance it will run on the Mister at some point down the road?

Re: Arcade cores
For Robotron how do you get a coin/credit? I tried every button and no luck for me. I will add coin left to the Start 1P joystick button and add a Start 2P with centre coin (gives more credits). Perfect thank you. I've been adding Coeff/Filter support to the Arcade Cores until official releases hap...

Re: SNES core
The game "Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World (USA)" has a regression since release 20181206. In the main menu the cursor keeps scrolling to the right and does not land (exactly) on a game poster. Pressing the START button results in a menu that is almost completely out of the screen. In 2018...

Re: HDMI video capture
Is there a noticable difference capturing at 1080p@60fps or 720p@60fps vs 1080p@30fps? I just bought a capture device that can do 1080p@60fps but it's not all that convenient. The device I'm looking can do 1080p@60fps or 720p@60fps and seems way more convenient. I'd be uploading to YouTube so my que...

Re: MiSTer NES Core
Is it possible to add in options to remove Sprite limits for games that have bad flicker? I believe the PCE core has an option for extra sprites. I've been working on adding in extra Palette options like Smooth FBX but I'm struggling with converting the 8bit Hex over to what looks like 5bit Hex in t...
