Re: FPGA SNES source (srg320)

@Sorgelig - you've no idea how much it means to me that you approve of the work. :) I was going to ask you on Faceplant about it soon. As you know, I've struggled with getting anything ported to MiSTer before, and I thought my attempt atm is a bit of a "kludge", but hey, it loads the ROMs, right? lo...

Re: FX68K Cycle accurate 68000 core

Thanks for your replies. (I tried to post this earlier, but the forum is still very broken.)... This is where it gets to with asserting PHI1 on 0 and PHI2 on 4 (with a 3-bit clock divider). https://i.imgur.com/rGp7wq6.png I suspect I've messed up the logic for the clock div in the Genesis.v now, sin...

Re: FX68K Cycle accurate 68000 core

OK, I see now that the PHI1 and PHI2 signals need to be generated. I've tried adding a 3-bit clock divider, then just asserting PHI1 on 0 and PHI2 on 4... https://i.imgur.com/rGp7wq6.png I suspect I've messed up the logic for the clock div in the Genesis.v now, since it no longer has TG68K_STATE for...

Re: FX68K Cycle accurate 68000 core

That's a good question. I'm currently trying to get it running on the latest Genesis core as well. Quartus doesn't seem to like generating a Verilog Instantiation template nor VHDL Component Declaration file when there are "structs" in the code, so I had to manually add that. And I had the usual ann...

Re: FX68K Cycle accurate 68000 core

Fantastic work, Ijor. :) And many thanks for the sources, as well. You don't know how important this is for MiSTer, and FPGA retro stuff as a whole. The 68000 is obviously a super-important chip for lots of machines, and even the Quantel Paintbox might now benefit from your core. hehe I'll definitel...

Re: FX CAST Atari ST core

@ijor - Thanks for your reply. That's some fantastic work, particularly on the 68000, as it's obviously a very iconic and widespread CPU, especially on arcade boards. The same MFP chip is used in the classic Mac and SGI Indy as well, IIRC? Although I could be remembering that wrong. I've seen some o...

Re: FX CAST Atari ST core

Hi, all, This is my first post here. (I go by the name "ElectronAsh" on YouTube an Twitter). I just wanted to also say congrats and thanks for the new Atari ST core. It looks great. :) The 68000 core will be perfect for other cores, too. @ijor - I was just wondering what your methodology was for con...
