A great loss to the (not only) Chiptune-Scene... :-(

"It is with great sadness that I inform you of the brutal passing of my friend Sydney, known as Ultrasyd. Syd was not only a talented musicien but the essence of kindness and genuine humanity."

Re: PhotoChrome v6

Ah, thank you - now it works like a charm.
One (hopefully) last question - how to get a scrolling picture - let´s say vertically 416px wide?
Kind regards!

Re: PhotoChrome v6

Sorry, but i do not get it to work.
I´ve used
pcs630.exe -dg -s 3 -y 272 -pct type1_272.csv -cd 4 -f 1 -m 5 -nnd 9 -dt 5 -wp comet_s.jpg
When i try to open the pic on the STE i get
"Sorry - loads 416x272+ (PCSv6 type #1) y"
The source picture is 416*272
What i´m doing wrong? :-(

Re: PhotoChrome v6

There isn't one for v6. However the convertor outputs a bunch of diagnostic PNGs showing you what it should look like on the Atari display, complete with any losses. This is more convenient. I just use that to descide if the conversion is good or not. The main point of PCS is to display high colour...

Now i got the message "sorry - shows 416*272 type #1 images only" As mentioned above i´ve used a 408 x 270 source picture and pcs -cd ste -f 2 -m 5 -nnd 12 -lt 3 -dt 1 -et 1 -ei 4 starm_sd.jpg Any sugges...

PhotoChrome v6 and STe
RTFM - OK, but maybe someone likes to summarize it?
What's the easiest way?
How do you get the best results?
Requirements source material?
PC graphic viewer for the converted images?
Slide show at Atari - how?
THX in advance?

Thank you !

Since I know no better place than here in the Atari forum, where I could address all demo coders, I'll just do it here. First of all: I'm not a coder (even though I wrote a vocabulary trainer in GFA Basic when I was 14) I'm not a graphic artist (stick figures are all I can draw) I am not a musician ...

SC1224 vertical allignment

I´ve seen a lot of SC1224 (Goldstar) with the picture not vertically centered - including mine.
There is no way to center it with the adjustments on the back.
Any suggestions?

As a backer of the full size version (still to come), i got the mini for free. But i am quite satisfied with it. i take less space, easy to use, hdmi and enough room for my raspi now fitted next to the fpga board within the same case (Some hole needed to be drille)
