Re: NeoGeo topic
You can use A+B+C on startup to enter the unibios menu and pick which region & mode you want. It's not consistently remembering choices for me, but worst case you can pick it each startup if necessary. [...] That's the problem, when unibios boots into console mode although the core is set to MVS, t...

Re: NeoGeo topic
Okay, I did some more testing and the core is just still glitchy on boot. The free Universe BIOS will sometimes automatically boot into console mode, although the core is set to MVS and then the insert-coin-button won't work. A soft reboot usually fixes this, but the MiSTer needs to be rebooted to ...

Re: Original analog video without I/O board? Possible!
I’m thinking of getting this Rankie pigtail adapter to test, has anyone had any success with it? https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00ZMV7RL2/ I have this one. It works with direct_video=1. Different board layout inside than some of the pictures in this thread though. It has a 3.5mm connector for an...

Re: SDRAM board
Is it expected for memtest_20190907 to have different test results than memtest_20180313? Is the newer version more strict?
With a 32MB SDRAM board, I can run 20180313 at 167MHz for several minutes without errors. But 20190907 fails immediately at any speed above 130MHz.

Re: Joystick testing thread
I've been unable to get my Retrode with a SNES controller to work as an input device. It works fine as a USB keyboard on a PC. If I plug it directly into the DE10-nano, the Retrode LED doesn't even light up. If I plug into a powered USB hub, sometimes it lights up but I can't map inputs. I'm probabl...

Re: Atari 2600
Is it a known issue that most sounds in Pitfall don't work? For me, there is sound when hitting a log, but no sound when jumping, swinging, or dying. I don't have the SDRAM board yet, if that might make a difference...
